Abstract:Objective To design and develop an information management system for realizing management automation and informatization of Central Sterile Supply Department,also for medical resources reduction and overall management of all types of information in Central Sterile Supply Department.Methods Powerbuilder 9.0 was used as development tool and Oracle 10g as the database to provide data storage and management.The system was put into practice after development.Results The system was put into practice in June 2009.Its performances showed that the system ran well,and achieved the work flow control and overall management of all types of information of Central Sterile Supply Department.Conclusion This information management system fits for the Central Sterile Supply Department's management,improves quality of work efficiency,and greatly reduces the risk of infections and medical costs in hospital.
