Abstract:In present,Bacillus Megaterium expression system is one of the successful heterologous protein expression system,it seems to be an interesting alternative system of E.coli system.In this review,recent advances of the system were described and discussed.Bacillus Megaterium has a number of favorable features as an expression host,including low extracellular protease activity,stability of plasmids,high secretion capacity of protein into the culture medium,non-endotoxin,low price inductor and the ability to grow on a wide variety of substrates.Now,highly efficient expression of many homologous and heterologous genes in Bacillus Megaterium were reported,The expression system is becoming popular.
