Abstract:Wang Guowei's Poetics has been misreaded as a reproduction of Schopenhauer's aesthetics so long since 20~(th) century.In this paper,however,the author presents a new idea that no one other than Schiller stamped the aesthetic idea of Wang Guowei with the idea of"the unity of nature and ideal".Fur- thermore,the author expresses that Wang Guowei,following Schiller,held the idea of"the unity of na- ture and ideal"as to take the idea of humanism as the core of poetics,which overcame the traditional thought of China.
