Abstract:The treatment of vascular dementia include prevention and symptomatic treatment. The medicines of symptomatic treatment involve in many mechanisms, including cholinesterase inhibitors, N-methyl-D-asparate receptor antagonists, microcirculation-improving agents and neuroprotectants, etc. From the view of evidence-based medicine, the article reviews some clinical trials that offered higher grade evidence to illustrate the present therapeutic status, the existing problems and the future direction of study in vascular dementia.
