A Transformation of Attention from Outcome to Process——on the implications of process approach

Abstract:Process Approach is posed by the Western linguists in the late 70's of the twentieth century. This approach is based on the theory of communication and views writing as a complicated mental cognitive and language intercourse process.It advocates that writing should be learnt through the writing process itself and lays great emphasis on the autonomy and interaction of the student writers in the process of writing.It also atta- ches a great importance to continuous revising in the writing process.This teaching style has great implications for the traditional teaching of writing in China.
