Abstract:Although RBAC models have received broad support as a generalized approach to access control, the administration of roles in large organizations can become quite cumbersome. In this paper, we develop a new paradigm for access control and authorization management, called task-role based access control (TRBAC) with multi-constraint. The basic idea of this model different from traditional RBAC is that roles and permissions are not connected directly but are put together by tasks. It is a dynamic authorization model with fine-grained partition on users, roles, tasks and sessions. The unit of task becomes the permission granularity. It is more convenient for enterprise privilege management such as distributed application,C/S access control and workflow management. It can reduce the administrator's burden and avoid some potential safety hazards because of adopted dynamic authorization.

Abstract:Conflicting perspectives exist regarding the application of the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the theory of planned behavior (TPB) to the study of technology acceptance behavior. The present study addressed the controversy by evaluating and comparing the predictive power of the two theories in a specific context, which was to measure students’ intentions to use a wiki for group work and their behaviors in doing so. A total of 174 students from a university in Hong Kong participated in the study. Three hypothesized models were examined using factor-based partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), which can account for measurement errors and is thus more robust than regression-based PLS-SEM. The results likely rebut the view that the TPB is inferior to the TAM. Moreover, this research highlighted the importance of social influences on collaborative e-learning.

Abstract:The models to predicate software reliability using test coverage (TC) have been widely studied in recent years. An increasing number of TC based software reliability models (TC-SRMs) have been developed. Meanwhile, to quantify the degree of effectiveness of software testing comprehensively, over ten kinds of TC measures have been proposed and each of them has its strength and weakness. A common problem with current TC-SRMs is that only a few classic TC are presented respectively. How to use all various TC metrics simultaneously in TC-SRMs has not been well discussed. This paper proposes a novel concept, integrated test coverage (ITC), to combine multi kinds of TC metrics as an integrated parameter for test effectiveness and reliability estimation. Then, the paper reviews the available TC-SRMs and classifies them into five categories by the modeling methods. Based on the weakness analysis of each category TC-SRMs respectively, we suggest that ITC can be applied to enhance these reported TC-SRMs.

Abstract:Dynamic fault tree (DFT) is designed to conduct risk assessment studies of complex systems. With the development of intelligent and network technology, risk assessment technology faces a leap forward development. The requirements for improving system safety are being recognized. On the one hand, research on DFT is exploring the integration with different methods. On the other hand, DFT method becomes more intelligent. The purpose of this paper is to identify the feasibility and effectiveness of different integration frameworks. To achieve this goal, a suitable review process is proposed. This paper comprehensively reviews and proposes future perspective the research status of intellectualization in DFT, and focuses on the different types of integration framework of DFT, modeling technology and algorithm optimization, and the support of computer-aided analysis. Theoretical contributions, frameworks features, and the development process of computer intelligent analysis in the scientific and technical literature are carefully reviewed. Finally, the challenges in future research are summarized to promote the development of intelligent evaluation.

Abstract:During the design and manufacturing process, the dimensional and geometric tolerances assigned to parts will affect the required functionality through a stack-up of deviations. Choosing an appropriate tolerance analysis model is important to calculate the influence that every tolerance has on key characteristics, and these models are fundamental tools for shortening the product development cycle with improved quality at a lower cost. There are many tolerance analysis models proposed in the literature. This paper, relying on the sizable literature, briefly presents eight of the most widely used models for tolerance analysis. Through a study of the research status of the analysis methods and applications, a comparison is proposed to show each method's advantages and disadvantages, similarities, and differences. Such a comparison furnishes criteria which are helpful in choosing the most appropriate model under various circumstances, as well as improving the accuracy of analysis.

Abstract:To improve the precision of traffic conflict discrimination, a comprehensive traffic conflict discrimination model was established using the traffic conflict theory, the relative movement theory and Fisher discrimination principle and taking the speed, distance and angle as key variables. The traffic conflict discrimination was devided into two phases: the occuring phase of traffic conflict and the discriminating phase of traffic conflict severity. The traffic conflicts were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively, the causes of the traffic conflict and the movement patterns of the conflicting objects were studied to build a critical conflict region. A model to discriminate the severity of traffic conflict was built using the Fisher discrimination principle. Thus a complete traffic conflict discrimination model was achieved. This model can be applied to predict and judge the conflict between any two of motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles, and pedestrians, providing a theoretical basis for automatic recognition technique of traffic conflicts.
From Knowledge Sharing Intention to Knowledge Sharing Behavior: A Comparative Test

Abstract:In order to reveal the mechanism of the relationship between knowledge sharing intension and knowledge sharing behavior,this study conducts a comparative test of TRA,TPB and RTPB,and derives the following conclusions through a field survey of knowledge workers from high-tech enterprises:(1) individual knowledge sharing attitude and subjective norm can effectively predict knowledge sharing intension in the TRA model,but the predictive power of knowledge sharing intension to knowledge sharing behavior is low;(2) in the TPB model,perceived behavioral control can predict individual's knowledge sharing intension and behavior respectively,the explanatory power of the model is significantly higher than the TRA model;(3) the explanatory power of RTPB model is a little higher than the TPB model,and can give a more detailed description of the path from the perceived internal control and external control to individual knowledge sharing intension and behavior;(4) TRA / TPB / RTPB model all admit that the intention–behavior gap exists.

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to propose an extended model of e-satisfaction in the consumer e-commerce environment. The model is based on technology acceptance model (TAM) and task-technology fit (TTF) model. The study proposes a conceptual model that the e-satisfaction is direct or indirect influenced by several constructs: perceived value, fulfilment, e-trust, social presence, perceived enjoyment besides TAM and TTF. The interrelationship between these constructs is explained. Empirical study of this extended model is expected in future further research.

Abstract:As one of the most widely accepted adoption models in information systems research, the technology acceptance model （TAM） focuses exclusively on cognition-oriented constructs such as perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. This perspective may have limited the explanatory power of TAM when it is utilized in studying consumers’ adoption intentions of online shopping. Based on the contrasts between e-commerce systems and traditional workplace information systems as well as empirical findings from a variety of recent e-commerce research works, this paper analyzes an extended model which integrates three additional constructs: trust, social presence, and perceived enjoyment. The interrelationship between these constructs is also explained. Empirical validations of this extended model are expected in future research.
Enhancing the Combined-TAM-TPB model with trust in the sharing economy context: A meta-analytic structural equation modeling approach

Abstract:The theories and constructs of the theory of planned behavior (TPB), the technology acceptance model (TAM), and trust are all widely discussed in research on the sharing economy. Previous empirical research, however, has yielded inconsistent results about the degree of association in the aforementioned theoretically covered constructs. This study used an integrated model that included the TAM, TPB, and trust to investigate factors that primarily influence participation intention in the sharing economy. A meta-analysis of 146 studies was conducted to summarize effect sizes for 12 pairs of relationships. The findings demonstrate a high positive correlation for each relationship in the model. Then, meta-analytic structural equation modeling (MASEM) was used to test the original, the extended Combined-TAM-TPB (C-TAM-TPB), and the extended C-TAM-TPB with trust model (trust-enhanced extended model). The findings indicate that the trust-enhanced extended model has the best explanatory power for the behavioral intention in the sharing economy. We also examined the moderating effects of platform type and economic development level to discover the sources of the inconsistent outcomes of previous studies. The findings show that each relationship varies significantly across platform types, and most relationships are higher in the accommodation-sharing scenario. Besides, the results of the moderating effect of economic development level demonstrate that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness have a stronger influence on attitude in developed countries. Still, trust has a larger effect on behavioral intention in developing countries.

Extended initial Technology Acceptance Model and its empirical test

Abstract:Based on accumulated studies on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and related efforts in technology adoption research, this paper proposes an extended model for analyzing the initial technology acceptance behavior of Chinese users. To empirically test the model, a survey regarding the recognition and adoption of an English-learning software among the freshmen of a business school is used. Results from structured equation model (SEM) analyses illustrates that most of the factors in the proposed model have direct or indirect significant influence on both near-term and long-term intentions of use, and demonstrated the potential ability of the model to interpret the initial IT acceptance behavior of individual Chinese users.

Abstract:As one of the three elements in enterprises, business process models are their very important asset. An effective process model similarity algorithm is a guarantee for process model retrieval, clustering and classification. In consideration of different deficiencies in existing algorithms, we present a new algorithm called TAR++ which is based on the importance of transition adjacent relations (TARs). The main idea of TAR++ is to describe the relationship of the transitions by adding an importance weight on TARs so as to generate a weighted TAR set and redefine union and intersection operators. In this paper, we introduce the TAR++ algorithm grounded in the Jaccard coefficient and leverages weighted TAR sets. The properties of TAR++ are validated on data sets of SAP, China CNR and DongFang Boiler Group.

Recent researches suggest that integrative medicine are not only the TCM plus Western medicine simply. They should be put together by scientifical methods or some models. This article builds on a recent conceptional description that demonstrated the benefits of three research models for integration of TCM and Western medicine, and the uses of adjunct clinical researches for integrative medicine.
A Study On The Mechanism Of Tacit Knowledge Integration: The Role Of Social Ties And Transactive Memory Systems

Abstract:As a spread phenomenon, tacit knowledge integration has been attracting more attention because of the embeddedness in social activities and interactions. Our works, as a complement to previous research, investigate tacit knowledge integration based on social networks from transactive memory systems (TMS) perspective. We focus on ties dimension (expressive tie, instrumental tie, and tie strength) and nodes dimension (value similarity), and study the mechanism of social networks on tacit knowledge integration with TMS lens. The explorative results provide that: TMS has significant and positive effect on tacit knowledge integration directly; expressive tie, tie strength and value similarity have significant and positive impact on TMS directly; instrumental tie has no significant effect on TMS, but has negative impact on tacit knowledge integration directly.

Abstract:Abstract The Toyota production system (TPS), or lean production, has been associated with many benefits for manufacturing firms that implement the system. However, to implement the TPS successfully, it is necessary to integrate the so‐called “hard side” of the system (that is, the technical aspects of material handling) with the “soft side” of the program (that is, the aspects associated with human factors). The present study makes a contribution to such a holistic view of the TPS by proposing an integrated model that consists of the technical aspects of the TPS, together with elements associated with total quality management (TQM), human resources management (HRM), and certain identified “people factors.” The study then uses structural equation modeling (SEM) to test this holistic model using data obtained from a questionnaire survey of 153 Taiwanese manufacturing firms. The empirical study confirms the appropriateness of the causal model, which is evaluated by several goodness‐of‐fit methods. The study confirms the proposition that the inclusion of the “people factors” together with TQM and HRM significantly improves the realization of benefits associated with the TPS practices of “just‐in‐time” (JIT) and “autonomation.” The conclusion is that such an integrated model provides a much more effective “lean system” and has the potential to produce significantly enhanced benefits for firms that implement it. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
