Abstract:A novel process control and monitoring system frame using Ajax for improving the real-time performance of web-based systems was presented.The system was based on Browser/Server structure and OPC specification,and the Ajax was used to update the real-time data of client(the browser)without refreshing entire Web page.

Abstract:Combined with the communication technology of GPRS(General Packet Ratio Service),J2EE(Java 2 platform Enterprise Edition)technology and database management,a power quality monitoring system based on browser /server structure is developed.Its structure and realization are introduced from both hardware and software,including GPRS data acquisition module,communication server,database server,Web server and client.The connection pool is used to connect Web server with database,and the technology of xmlhttp is used to display the real-time online data.The monitoring system is in operation now.

Abstract:Basing on the platform of the PI(Plant Information)real-time system supervising of power plants is a representative example integrating the knowledge of automation and the specialty of PI system.According to an example of Web program development on one real-time system supervising of power plants,how to develop the flow picture and real-time data on PI to the client with PI-ActiveView is introduced on the basis of B/S model and ActiveX.Thus,users can view flow picture and real-time data and supervise operation by means of IE browser.

Abstract:For the application of real-time database in a petrochemical plant,the article put forwards to a new concept to resolve the communication among real-time database and DCS,control software,and Web-based user interface.The scheme is developed based on Windows 2000 Server using the technique of multe-threading,anolymous pipe and WinSock,etc.The results of long industrial running of this scheme show that it is more effective and feasible for industrial process.

Abstract:A kind of real-time monitoring system is developed, which fits different DCS systems and has a good real-time performance. In this system, the display module runs in web browser as a ActiveX component, which makes it easy to maintain, and a system uses UDP data package to transmit data with a high real-time performance. Abstract:Web applications are suffering from poor interactivity and responsiveness towards end users since the conventional browser-based Web applications follow a request-wait response-wait pattern. This pattern leads to high network latency, interface complexity and slow server responsiveness which impair the user experience, decrease customer satisfaction, cut down the number of visits, and, ultimately, reduce revenue to e-businesses. AJAX (asynchronous javascript and XML) is a standards-based programming technique designed to make Web-based applications more responsive, interactive, and customizable. It is becoming increasingly important to reengineer the traditional Web project with AJAX. In this paper, we present a common process to reengineer the traditional Web project with AJAX and develop a tool to do the work swiftly, automatically and efficiently. Compared to reengineer a traditional Web site with AJAX of medium size, our method will save about 90% workload. This is not only useful for the project manager but also beneficial to the customers.

Abstract:A new breed of web application, dubbed AJAX, is emerging in response to a limited degree of interactivity in large-grain stateless Web interactions. At the heart of this new approach lies a single page interaction model that facilitates rich interactivity. We have studied and experimented with several AJAX frameworks trying to understand their architectural properties. In this paper, we summarize three of these frameworks and examine their properties and introduce the SPIAR architectural style. We describe the guiding software engineering principles and the constraints chosen to induce the desired properties. The style emphasizes user interface component development, and intermediary delta-communication between client/server components, to improve user interactivity and ease of development. In addition, we use the concepts and principles to discuss various open issues in AJAX frameworks and application development.

Abstract:A method was proposed for graphics and data web publishing for local thermal power plant management information system based on AJAX. SVG was used as the Web publishing and display format. In order to solve the problem of information's real-time dynamic refreshment, AJAX was elected as the asynchronous communication mechanism. The application results show that this method has the advantages of saving network bandwidth, reducing transmission delay and the transmission information is more safe and reliable. It's feasible and available. © 2011 IEEE.

Abstract:Aimed at the difficult operation and low work efficiency in monitoring and management in common vegetable factory, My Eclipse was used as development tool and Struts +Spring +Hibernate was used as framework to develop a monitoring system based on Internet. Data related to vegetable growth were collected and transferred to Web server which made decisions on the basis of acquired data and settings. Decisions were sent to actuators to adjust related parameters. The monitoring system adopted can be accessed locally or remotely by managers to monitor the conditions of vegetable and to set new settings. Data related to vegetable growth were saved automatically by Web server and can be analyzed later. Practice indicates that monitoring system of vegetable factory made management convenient and effective.

Abstract:Computer-based supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems have evolved over the past four decades, from standalone, compartmentalized operations into networked architectures that communicate across large distances. There is an emerging trend comprising SCADA and conventional IT units toward consolidating some overlapping activities. This trend is motivated by cost savings achieved by consolidating disparate platforms, networks, software, and maintenance tools. For reasons of efficiency, maintenance, economics, data acquisition, control platforms have migrated from isolated in-plant networks using proprietary hardware and software to PC-based systems using standard software, network protocols, and the Internet. In this thesis, we present an approach for web-based SCADA systems that adapt to the behavior of the target application. In addition, we take into account the real time constraints that imposed by the nature of the problem. We show that our approach is more efficient than other approaches in terms of consuming as little as possible of the available resources (computational power and network bandwidth).
