Abstract:A method was proposed to build PFC2D numerical model for mesostructure of inhomogeneous geomaterial by digital image processing,and a interface program was compiled with VC++.NET language.So the model generation of the really microstructure model of the inhomogeneous geomaterials became quickly,really and automatically.Through an example of the model building and numerical analysis of soil/rock mixture using this method,the numerical model of PFC2D for actual mesostructure of soil/rock mixtures was built.The simulation results indicate that digital image processing based model building of PFC2D not only improve the precision of the modeling and numerical simulation,but also has great significations on the deep study on the mesomechanics of soil/rock mixtures and other inhomogeneous materials.
