Abstract:ABET is the most influential professional organization of accreditation.The crisis in the late 20th century and the persistent organizational change indicate that only when the absolute and rigid standard of the accreditation is abandoned and new strategy and mission are made from the perspective of change can the accreditation in engineering higher education adapt to the social change and the technology innovation.The CQI has been a vital role to play in producing new philosophy of criteria and the birth of new accreditation criteria,as well as in establishing strategic planning and shaping the effective organizational behavior.Finally,CQI advances the development of the continuous quality improvement culture in organizations.
