Abstract:In this paper, we consider random dynamical systems formed by concatenating maps acting on the unit interval in an independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) fashion. Considered as a stationary Markov process, the random dynamical system possesses a unique stationary measure . We consider a class of non-square-integrable observables , mostly of form , where is a non-recurrent point (in particular a non-periodic point) satisfying some other genericity conditions and, more generally, regularly varying observables with index . The two types of maps we concatenate are a class of piecewise expanding maps and a class of intermittent maps possessing an indifferent fixed point at the origin. Under conditions on the dynamics and , we establish Poisson limit laws, convergence of scaled Birkhoff sums to a stable limit law, and functional stable limit laws in both the annealed and quenched case. The scaling constants for the limit laws for almost every quenched realization are the same as those of the annealed case and determined by . This is in contrast to the scalings in quenched central limit theorems where the centering constants depend in a critical way upon the realization and are not the same for almost every realization.

Abstract:This paper deals with random dynamical systems of polynomial automorphisms (complex generalized Hénon maps and their conjugate maps) of $\Bbb{C}^{2}.$ We show that a generic random dynamical system of polynomial automorphisms has ``mean stablity'' on $\Bbb{C}^{2}$. Further, we show that if a system has mean stability, then (1) for each $z\in \Bbb{C}^{2}$ and for almost every sequence $\gamma =(\gamma _{n})_{n=1}^{\infty }$ of maps, the Lyapunov exponents of $\gamma $ at $z$ are negative, (2) there are only finitely many minimal sets of the system, (3) each minimal set is attracting, and (4) for each $z\in \Bbb{C}^{2}$ and for almost every sequence $\gamma $ of maps, the orbit $\{ \gamma _{n}\cdots \gamma _{1}(z) \} _{n=1}^{\infty }$ tends to one of the minimal sets of the system. Note that (1)--(4) cannot hold for any deterministic iteration dynamical system of a single complex generalized Hénon map. We observe many new phenomena in random dynamical systems of polynomial automorphisms of $\Bbb{C}^{2}$ and observe the mechanisms. We provide new strategies and methods to study higher-dimensional random holomorphic dynamical systems.

Abstract:Under the framework of sub-linear expectation initiated by Peng, motivated by the concept of extended negative dependence, we establish a law of logarithm for arrays of row-wise extended negatively dependent random variables under weak conditions. Besides, the law of logarithm for independent and identically distributed arrays is derived more precisely and the sufficient and necessary conditions for the law of logarithm are obtained.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the transverse stability of random dynamical systems (RDS). Suppose a RDS on a Riemann manifold possesses a non-random invariant submanifold, what conditions can guarantee that a random attractor of the RDS restrained on the invariant submanifold is a random attractor with respect to the whole manifold? By the linearization technique, we prove that if all the normal Lyapunov exponents with respect to the tangent space of the submanifold are negative, then the attractor on the submanifold is also a random attractor of the whole manifold. This result extends the idea of the transverse stability analysis of deterministic dynamical systems in [1, 3]. As an explicit example, we discuss the complete synchronization in network of coupled maps with both stochastic topologies and maps, which extends the well-known master stability function (MSF) approach for deterministic cases to stochastic cases.
Local rigidity of actions of isometries on compact real analytic Riemannian manifolds

Abstract:In this article, we consider analytic perturbations of isometries of an analytic Riemannian manifold M. We prove that, under some conditions, a finitely presented group of such small enough perturbations is analytically conjugate on M to the same group of isometry it is a perturbation of. Our result relies on a "Diophantine-like" condition, relating the actions of the isometry group and the eigenvalues of the Laplace-Beltrami operator. Our result generalizes Arnold-Herman's theorem about diffemorphisms of the circle that are small perturbations of rotations.

Abstract:We study general random dynamical systems of continuous maps on some compact metric space. Assuming a local contraction condition and uniqueness of the stationary measure, we establish probabilistic limit laws such as the central limit theorem, the strong law of large numbers, and the law of the iterated logarithm. Moreover, we study exponential synchronization and synchronization on average. In the particular case of iterated function systems on $\mathbb S^1$, we analyze synchronization rates and describe their large deviations. In the case of $C^{1+\beta}$-diffeomorphisms, these deviations on random orbits are obtained from the large deviations of the expected Lyapunov exponent.

Abstract:In a paper entitled singularities of invariant densities for random switching between two linear odes in 2D, Bakhtin et al [5], consider a Markov process obtained by random switching between two stable linear vector fields in the plane and characterize the singularities of the invariant density in terms of the switching and contraction rates. This paper considers a generalization of this model obtained by random switching between two stable linear vector fields in Rd and provides sufficient conditions ensuring that the invariant distribution is absolutely continuous and has a Cr density. In dimension greater than 3 it provides, to the best of our knowledge, the first fully non-elliptic example of random switching for which quantitative conditions guaranteeing smoothness of the invariant density can be proved.

Abstract:Multiple Borel-Cantelli Lemma is a criterion that characterizes the occurrence of multiple rare events on the same time scale. We generalize the multiple Borel-Cantelli Lemma in dynamics established by Dolgopyat, Fayad and Liu [J. Mod. Dyn. 18 (2022) 209--289], broadening its applications to encompass several non-smooth systems with absolute continuous measures. Utilizing this generalization, we derive multiple Logarithm Law for hitting time and recurrence of dispersing billiard maps and piecewise expanding maps under some regular conditions, including tent map, Lorentz-like map and Gauss map.

Abstract:We consider families of diffeomorphisms with dominated splittings and preserving a Borel probability measure, and we study the regularity of the Lyapunov exponents associated to the invariant bundles with respect to the parameter. We obtain that the regularity is at least the sum of the regularities of the two invariant bundles (for regularities in [ 0 , 1 ] [0,1] ), and under suitable conditions we obtain formulas for the derivatives. Similar results are obtained for families of flows, and for the case when the invariant measure depends on the map. We also obtain several applications. Near the time one map of a geodesic flow of a surface of negative curvature the metric entropy of the volume is Lipschitz with respect to the parameter. At the time one map of a geodesic flow on a manifold of constant negative curvature the topological entropy is differentiable with respect to the parameter, and we give a formula for the derivative. Under some regularity conditions, the critical points of the Lyapunov exponent function are nonflat (the second derivative is nonzero for some families). Also, again under some regularity conditions, the criticality of the Lyapunov exponent function implies some rigidity of the map, in the sense that the volume decomposes as a product along the two complementary foliations. In particular for area preserving Anosov diffeomorphisms, the only critical points are the maps smoothly conjugated to the linear map, corresponding to the global extrema.

Abstract:We obtain Wiman-Valiron type inequalities for random entire functions and for random analytic functions on the unit disk that improve a classical result of Erdős and Rényi and recent results of Kuryliak and Skaskiv. Our results are then applied to linear dynamics: we obtain rates of growth, outside some exceptional set, for analytic functions that are frequently hypercyclic for an arbitrary chaotic weighted backward shift.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce generalized dichotomies for nonautonomous random linear dynamical systems acting on arbitrary Banach spaces, and obtain their complete characterization in terms of an appropriate admissibility property. These generalized dichotomies are associated to growth rates satisfying mild conditions and they include the standard exponential behavior as a very particular case. As a nontrivial application, we establish the robustness property of such dichotomies under small (linear) perturbations.

Abstract:We prove that infinitely renormalizable contracting Lorenz maps with bounded geometry or the so-called {\it a priori bounds} satisfies the slow recurrence condition to the singular point $c$ at its two critical values $c_1^-$ and $c_1^+$. As the first application, we show that the pointwise Lyapunov exponent at $c_1^-$ and $c_1^+$ equals 0. As the second application, we show that such maps are stochastically stable.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider random dynamical systems (abbreviated as RDSs) generated by compositions of one-sided stationary random endomorphisms of class C^2 of a compact manifold. We will first introduce the notions of entropy and Lyapunov exponents for such RDSs, and then prove that the entropy formula of Pesin type holds if the sample measures of an invariant measure are absolutely continuous with respect to the Lebesgue measure on the manifold. Our result covers those obtained by Ledrappier and Young [11], and Liu [12] for i.i.d. random diffeomorphisms or (non-invertible) endomorphisms, and that obtained by [12] for two-sided stationary random endomorphisms. If the phase spaces are compact and finite-dimensional manifolds without boundary, this result may be considered as the almost-final form of Pesin entropy formula for RDSs with absolutely continuous invariant or sample measures.
