Abstract:Objective To investigate the role of protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B(PTP-1B) in pathogenesis of metabolic syndrome(MS).Methods Fifty-one patients were divided into 3 groups:type 2 diabetes group(DM),MS group(MS) and control group(C).Fasting blood glucose and fasting insulin were determined.Expression of PTP-1B in adipose tissues were determined by Western blot.Results Compared with NC,T2DM and MS groups had higher FPG,Ln(HOMA-IR) and PTP-1B.Compared with T2DM,waistline and PTP-1B of MS was higher.After controlled for age,TPT-1B was positively related with waistline,Ln(HOMA-IR),FPG and systolic pressure.Conclusions Overexpression of PTP-1B in adipose tissues is related to such disorder of glycometabolism and obesity as MS risk factors,which shows PTP-1B participates in pathogenesis of MS.
