Abstract:In view of the lack of systematic experimental teaching in colleges and universities, the experimental design of graduate students is difficult, and the experimental methods are unreasonable. In the course of thermal energy and power engineering testing technology, experimental teaching modules are added to improve students' practical ability and cultivate students' scientific research literacy. Taking the engine cylinder head fire surface temperature test experiment as an example, systematic experiment teaching is carried out from system construction, equipment calibration, measuring point arrangement, bench experiment to error analysis and data processing. The practice results show that the engine cylinder head temperature measurement experiment teaching helps the students to understand and master the temperature testing process, and enhances the students' experimental skills and practical ability, laying a solid experimental foundation for the follow-up postgraduate research work. Abstract: The stereoscopic teaching material is development direction of teaching material construction in the information age. It is helpful in enriching teaching contents, developing new teaching mode and means, sharing teaching resources, advancing teaching ability. Firstly, the concept and function of stereoscopic teaching material are expatiated in this paper. Secondly, contents of the stereoscopic teaching material construction of signal detection and estimation are discussed. It is hoped that the stereoscopic teaching material could promote teaching reform and the advancement of teaching quality.

Abstract:To explore the novel teaching pattern of the experimental course,a composite of online course with flipped classroom and on-site experiment is proposed,and was applied to physiological science experiments course in Zhejiang University.The effects of novel teaching pattern was evaluated by a 7 scale questionnaire survey conducted among 359 students from 12 classes.Statistical results showed that the students rated highly the course design and agreed that the novel teaching pattern improved students' interest in learning,promoted independent learning and active learning.The study demonstrated that students' self-learning ability,in particular,practical ability,scientific writing ability have improved significantly under the novel teaching mode.Students' knowledge comprehensive ability,capability for experimental design,questioning and problem-solving skills in scientific research were improved as well.The teaching pattern of physiological science experiments composed of online courses,flipped classroom and on-site experiments improves teaching quality and students' comprehensive ability.

Abstract:: This paper introduces the recent practice of teaching experimental design in physical chemistry laboratory in the Chemical Experimental Teaching Center of Nanjing University. The design of experiment is organized in four parts: selecting main instruments, submitting a preliminary proposal, making a presentation of the detailed project, and carrying out the designed experiment. The teaching practice proves that it is an effective route to cultivate the comprehensive quality and the independent innovation ability of students.

Abstract:: Based on the situation of China University of Petroleum (East China) and the students’ training characteristics, we have explored the reasonable teaching design on the basis of combining the theory and features of physical chemistry course with the practices, to facilitate chemical knowledge acquisition in non-chemical engineering majors. Teaching reforms such as using a variety of teaching methods and evaluation modes were employed in oil & gas storage and transportation engineering major, which has received significant teaching results.

Abstract:In this work, the teaching content of a theoretical-chemistry (TC) course is reformed, establishing a theoretical contents from micro- to macro-system, and comprehensively introducing the theory of chemical reaction to undergraduate students in chemistry. In order to develop such TC course based on the general physical-chemistry course, we focus on the last-mile problem between the physics and chemistry courses to train the critical thinking of undergraduate students in chemistry. To clearly show this, a reduction scheme of polymer molecular dynamics was discussed as an example, which shows a different theoretical content in polymer chemistry. Moreover, we propose a series of experiences and dependent measures that can provide information regarding students' levels of knowledge and understanding. This assessment quiz was designed to test students on the fundamental concepts and applications of TC, such as dynamics, statistical ensemble, kinetics, and so on. From the actual teaching for 36 students, it was found that these students performed significantly improvement from the present TC content. Further analysis of each individual question revealed that approximately two-third of the students learn new knowledge. Although the present TC course might be considered to be a certain degree of difficulty for chemists, these analyses show that students can effectively accept these complicated concepts.

Abstract:The university chemical experiment is a public fundamental course for the first year students of non-chemistry majors in Tsinghua University .The university chemical experiment course is set up independently in Tsinghua University ,the teaching hours are short ,the number of the students choosing this course is large , and their experimental levels are quite different .From the actual situation ,the experimental contents with the combination of basic knowledge and engineering specialty are determined , the various teaching forms are adopted to improve the teaching effect , the teaching idea of training students ' innovative thinking is implemented ,and an effective mode for the university chemical experimental teaching is explored . After several years of practice ,better results have been achieved .

Abstract:The advanced physical chemistry experiment course is carried out in a totally open teaching mode at Peking University.Students can design experimental projects and explore by themselves.The course needs over three hundreds requirements of chemical reagents and the categories are different every year.Thus systemic preparation process and management measure of chemical reagents are established by experimental technicians to efficiently satisfy the experimental requirements.Open experimental teaching can be carried out successfully.Chemical reagents are allocated scientifically to reduce the cost of experiment.Based on the hazard grade,the chemical reagents are controlled to ensure the experiment security.The waste liquid is collected in different category to protect environment and human health.
