Laser in situ Keratomileusis(LASIK) for Super-high myopia with astigmatism

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effects of excimer laser in suit keratomileusis (LASIK )for super-high myopia with astigmatism. Methods LASIK was performed on 101 eyes(52 cases) with super-high myopia and astigmatism.Refractive ranged from 10.00D to 14.00D and astigmatism from 0.50D to 4.50D. Results The uncorrected visual acuity at postoperative 1d,1mo,3mo,6mo was in accord with the desired best corrected visual acuities(BCVA) preoperatively and the rate of conformity was of 78.2%、85.1%、92.1%、87.1% respectively. The rate of conformity between postoperative corrected diopters and the desired corrected diopters preoperatively was 93.1% at diopter of spherical power and 87.1% at diopter of cylindrical power. Conclusions The exciter laser LASIK is an effective and safe method to treat super-high myopia with astigmatism .
