Abstract:In recent years,there has been an overall decrease in cancers of the oral cavity,whereas the incidence rate of oropharyngeal carcinoma has increased substantially.More and more evidences showed that human papilloma virus(HPV) may play an important role in the development of oropharyngea squamous cell carcinoma,including the cancer incidence,treatment,prognosis and prevention and so on.And it receives widespread attentions in the international scientific research.This review focuses on the association between HPV and oropharyngeal cancer.
