Abstract:In order to investigate the biodegradation of nitrogenous heterocyclic compounds in petroleum contaminated soil, 260 strains of high-efficient pyridine degradation bacteria were isolated from 45 petroleum contaminated soil samples by selective enrichment culture when pyridine was chosen as module contaminants. The two best named as 4-11 and 2-13. Identification, growth and pyridine-degradation of the strain 4-11 and 2-13 were studied. The degradation rate could reach 65.5% and 64.1% of the strain 4-11 and 2-13 in 60 hours, when the concentration of pyridine was 1 000 mg·L-1. At last, the strain 4-11 and 2-13 was identified with 16S rDNA sequence, morphological, biochemical and physiological experiments. It was found that the colony of strain 4-11 was Thiobacillus, sharing the highest homology (99.8%) with Thiobacillus intermediu, and strain 2-13 was Flexibacter, sharing the highest homology (99.9%) with Flexibacter giganteus.
