Abstract:A new species of the genus Oxya, O. zhengi sp. nov., collected from Tengchong, Yunnan, China is described. The new species is similar to O. intricata (Stl), but differs in: 1) the body of male and female stocky, tegmina short, and only reaching the middle of hind femora; 2) in male, interspace of mesosternal lobes narrow, length about 3 times of the width; 3) without obvious teeth on external margin of the ventral valves of ovipositor, with a few tiny teeth; 4) the lophi of epiphallus large and triangular. This species is named in honor of Professor ZHENG Zhe-Min for his outstanding contribution to the systematic entomology.

Abstract:A new species of gall wasp, Andricus wugangensis Zeng, Liu, & Zhu sp. nov. is described and illustrated herein from Hunan Province, China. The new species is most similar to A. wuhanensis Ide, Abe, Su & Zhu and A. xishuangbanaensis Melika & Tang in morphology but can be easily distinguished by having 1) a large V-shaped carina on the lower face and 2) a broad transverse depression spanning the region between the inner margin of the eyes on the upper face. The results of a phylogenetic analysis and pairwise genetic distance comparison, based on COI sequences, were consistent with the conclusion of the comparative morphological assessment of the similar species: A. wuganensis, A. wuhanensis and A. xishuangbanaensis, although the morphological differences are more obvious than the small genetic distance of the COI sequences, which is 4.3% and 3% between the new species and A. wuhanensis and A. xishuangbanaensis, respectively. Additionally, a taxonomic key to the known species of Andricus from China is provided.

Abstract:A new species of the genus Mongolotettix Rehn, 1928 from Fujian, China is described in this paper. The new species Mongolotettix.fujianensis sp. nov. is similar to M. wulingyuanensis Shi, Liu et Li, 2016, but differs from the latter by maximum width of cubital area 1.4 times maximum width of medial area in tegmina of male; body small, length of body ♂ 21.5. mm, ♀ 30.6 mm; vertical diameter eye 1.3 times horizontal diameter in male; hind femur of male with 103 stridulatory pegs on inner side and epiphallus with indistinct projection on inner side of lateral plates. Abstract:Two new species of the genus Mongolotettix Rehn, 1928 from China, i.e. Mongolotettix wulingyuanensis sp. nov. and Mongolotettix. shaanxiensis sp. nov. are described herein. M. wulingyuanensis sp. nov. is similar to M. angustiseptus Wan, Ren & Zhang, 1998, but differs from the latter by body larger, length of body ♂ 25.6 mm, ♀ 39.1mm; tegmina of male without a white stripe on the fore margin at base; subgenital plate of male conical, sides concave, apex acute; both outer sides of epiphallus without acute projection in the middle. M. shaanxiensis sp. nov. is similar to M. anomopterus (Caudell, 1921), but differs from the latter by tegmina of male longer, reaching the end of epiproct, without a white stripe on the fore margin at base, tegmina of female longer, reaching the middle of 2nd abdominal tergum, width of epiphallus larger than height, upper ovipositor valve slender, length 3.8 times its maximum width. A key to all nine known species of the genus from China is given. Type specimens are deposited in the Northwest Plateau Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xining, 810001, China.

Abstract:A new species of the genus Formosatettix Tinkham, 1937, namely Formosatettix xiai sp. n. is described and illustrated. The new species is allied to Formosatettix wulaoshanensis Zheng & Xu, 2010, but differs from the latter by the apex of pronotum reaching distal 2/3 of hind femur, width of frontal ridge equal to that of basal segment of antennae, length of a segment of antennae in the middle 3 times its width, lower margin of fore and mid femora straight, pronotum dorsally with one black spot on each side. The new species is also allied to Formosatettix tianmushanensis Zheng & Li, 2001, but the apex of pronotum reaching distal 2/3 of hind femur, the width of frontal ridge equal to that of basal antennal segment, length of upper ovipositor valve 3 times its width, length of a segment in the middle of antennae 5.0 times its width and pronotum dorsally with one black spot on each side. Abstract:A new species, Hemiptarsenus jilinus Tao, sp. nov., is described and illustrated. All the type specimens were reared from Chromatomyia horticola (Goureau) (Diptera: Agromyzidae), a leafminer attacking the plants Ixeris polycephala Cass. and Pterocypsela indica (L.) Shih, in Jilin Province, north-eastern China. A key to Chinese species of the genus is provided.

Abstract:One new genus and species, Paramacrosteles nigromaculatus gen. et sp. nov. of subfamily Euscelinae is described from China, and is placed in Macrostelini. The genus is similar to Macrosteles Fieber in general appearance, but can be distinguished from the latter by having the aedeagus at apex with two paired fork-shape projections. Abstract:Two new Chinese species of the genus Hishimonoides Ishihara are described.A key to all six species of this genus found in China is provided. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University.Hishimonoides dentimarginus sp. nov. (Figs.1-7)Body length (incl. tegm.): ♂4.5-4.7mm.Head including eyes as wide as pronotum, wide between eyes slightly more than as twice as median length of vertex, pronotum longer than scutellum.Vertex pale yellow with a transverse reddish brown band,at apex of vertex with two fuscus spots,face pale yellow mottled irregularly with round brown spots. Holotype ♂, paratype 1♂, Huixian (35°27′N,113°47′E), Henan Province,12 July 2002, coll.by CHEN Xiang-Sheng.This new species is allied to Hishimonoides recurvatis Li in appearance and colour pattern,but can be distinguished from the latter by 1) the central region of pronotum black,2) pygofer side obtusely rounded caudally,caudal margin serate,and 3) end of style is concave. Etymology, The new species name is from the Latin dent-plus margin,which means the caudal margin of pygofer side with serrate.Hishimonoides laterosporeus sp. nov.(Figs.8-14)Body length (incl. tegm.): ♂4.6-4.7mm,♀ 4.7-4.8mm.Body shape same as previous species description.Vertex blunty pointed margin, width between eyes more than as twice as middle length.Vertex pale yellow,with a transverse orange band,at apex with two brown spots,pronotum pale yellow with black reticulated striations, abdominal terga and sterna dark brown.Holotype ♂, paratypes: 1♂, 2♀♀, Zhalantun (45°05′N,122°45′E), Nei Mongol Autonomous Region, 27 Aug. 1996, coll. by YANG Mao-Fa.This new species is related to Hishimonoides aurifascialis Kuoh in appearance and colour pattern,but can be distinguished from the latter by 1) pygofer side with a tooth-shaped process,2) outside of the first pair paraphyses with a triangular process, and 3) the second pair of paraphyses is parallel.Etymology, The new species name is from the Latin later-plus spore,which means the first pair paraphyses of aedeagus with a triangular process.

Abstract:The genus Mongolotettix Rehn, 1928 is a small genus of family Adrididae. It has nine species discovered from the Far Eastern Asian countries, including China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, and Russia [Bolívar, 1898; Uvarov, 1914; Caudell, 1921; Chogsomzhav, 1974; Li et Lian, 1994; Wan, Ren et Zhang, 1998; Xie et Li, 2000, Kim et Kim 2005; Dong, et al, 2015; Shi et al, 2016; Storozhenko, 2016; Eades et al, 2017; Zhang et al, 2017]. In the present paper, we describe a new species of the genus from Hubei, China. Type specimens are deposited in the College of Plant Protection, Shandong Agricultural University, Taian, Shandong, China.

Abstract:Two new species of the genus Eotmethis Bey-Bienko, 1948, namely Eotmethis xiai sp. nov., and Eotmethis platyverticus sp. nov. from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Gansu province are described in this paper. The new species Eotmethis xiai sp. nov. is allied to E. recipennis Xi & Zheng, 1986, but differs from latter by the vertical diameter of eye about 1.2 times as long as horizontal diameter, prozona of pronotum equal to metazona, tegmina of female shorter, reaching 2nd abdominal tergite only. The new species Eotmethis platyverticus sp. nov. is allied to E. holanennis Zheng & Gow, 1981, but differs from latter by width of vertex between eyes 2 times diameter of eye and prozona of pronotum longer than metazoan in female. The type specimens are deposited in College of Life Sciences, Hebei University, Baoding, China.

Abstract:The Chinese species of the genus Heterospilus Haliday, 1836 from the Parasitic Hymenoptera Collection of Zhejiang Uni-versity were studied and thirty-four species are recognized, including 12 previously described species. Eighteen new spe-cies of this genus are described and illustrated: Heterospilus (Heterospilus) alternicoloratus sp. nov., H.(H.) balicyba sp. nov., H.(H.) chui sp. nov., H.(H.) curvisulcus sp. nov., H.(H.) densistriatus sp. nov., H.(H.) fujianensis sp. nov., H.(H.) jianfengensis sp. nov., H.(H.) liui sp. nov., H.(H.) longiventrius sp. nov., H.(H.) nanlingensis sp. nov., H.(H.) parvus sp. nov., H.(H.) prodigiosus sp. nov., H.(H.) punctatus sp. nov., H.(H.) qingliangensis sp. nov., H.(H.) semidepressus sp. nov., H.(H.) setosiscutum sp. nov., H.(H.) setosus sp. nov., and H.(H.) tenuitergum sp. nov. Two new synonyms are proposed: H. asiaticola Belokobylskij et Maetô, 2009 with H. chinensis Chen et Shi, 2004 and H. gracilis Shi et Chen with H. separatus Fischer, 1960. A key to the Chinese species of Heterospilus is provided.
