Abstract:Osteonecrosis of the femoral head is one of the most serious complications of neck fracture.It is very important to predict possible osteonecrosis and to intervene in time to avoid the further development of the serious clinical symptoms.Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI were introduced in the recent past as a non-invasive,sensitive technique to predict the vascularity and reperfusions of the femoral head and to evaluate viability of the femoral head after the femoral neck fractures,and may be used as a guideline for management for the fractures according these valuable imformation.Conventional MRI is a reliable tool for early diagnosis of ischemia in the femoral head after femoral neck fracture with fixation.
