Abstract:The structure of the oxalate-bridged title complex, [Tm-2(C2O4)(3)(H2O)(4)] center dot 2H(2)O, consists of layers built from Tm-2(C2O4)(3) units. The coordination polyhedron of Tm can be described as a distorted dicapped trigonal prism. Each oxalate is located on an inversion centre.

Abstract:In the title CoII polymeric complex bridged by tartrate dianions, {[Co(C4H4O6)(H2O)2]·H2O}n, the CoII atom is coordinated by two tartrate dianions and two water molecules to give a distorted octahedral geometry. The hydroxyl O atom and one O atom of each carboxyl group chelate to the CoII atom, but the other O atom of this carboxyl group is uncoordinated. The polymeric chains are linked to each other via hydrogen bonds to form cavities which are filled with solvent water molecules.

Abstract:The title compound, [CoNa4(C8H3O7S)(2)(H2O)(12)](n), is a three-dimensional coordination polymer bridged by sulfoisophthalate trianions and water molecules. The Co-II atom, located on an inversion centre, is coordinated by two carboxylate groups of the sulfoisophthalate trianions and by four water molecules in a distorted CoO6 octahedral geometry. Two independent Na-I atoms also have a distorted octahedral coordination geometry formed by water, carboxylate O and sulfonate O atoms. An extensive O-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bonding network is present in the crystal structure, as well as weak pi-pi stacking [centroid-centroid distance = 3.9553 (11) angstrom].

Abstract:In the title complex, {[CaMn(C4H4O5)(2)(H2O)(6)](2H2O)-H-.}(n), the Ca-II and Mn-II ions are bridged by oxydiacetate (ODA) dianions to form zigzag polymeric chains. The Ca-II ion is located at a twofold axis and is coordinated by two tridentate ODA and two water molecules with a distorted tetragonal antiprism coordination geometry. The Mn-II ion is located at another twofold axis, and assumes a distorted octahedral coordination geometry formed by four water molecules and two carboxyl O atoms from monodentate ODA dianions also chelating to the neighboring CaII atoms.

Abstract:The title Mn-II complex, [Mn(C8H4O4)(C6H6N4S2)(H2O)(2)]. 2H(2)O, assumes a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry formed by 2,2'-diamino-4,4'-bithia-zole (DABT), terephthalate dianions and water molecules. The terephthalate dianions, each located on an inversion center, bridge Mn-II ions, forming polymeric complex chains. Additionally, pi-pi stacking is observed between parallel bithia-zole ligands.

Abstract:The title compound, [Co(C4H4O5)(C6H6N4S2)(H2O)] . 2H(2)O, contains one Co-II complex and two water molecules in the asymmetric unit. The tridentate oxydiacetate dianion meridionally chelates a Co atom, and both five-membered chelate rings assume an envelope conformation. Diaminobithiazole chelates the Co atom, in a planar configuration. Parallel thiazole rings of neighboring complex molecules are separated by 3.504 (5) Angstrom, suggesting the existence of pi-pi stacking interactions.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, {[MnNa(C(6)H(4)NO(3))(3)]·H(2)O}(n), the Mn(II) cation is located on a threefold rotation axis and is chelated by three 2-oxidopyridinium-3-carboxyl-ate (opc) anions in an octa-hedal coordination. The Na(I) cation is located on a threefold rotation axis and is surrounded by six O atoms from three opc anions. The opc anions link the Mn and Na cations, forming a three-dimensional polymeric structure. The uncoordinated water mol-ecule, located on a threefold rotation axis, is equally disordered over two sites. The three-dimensional network is consolidated by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract:The title compound, [Cu(C(4)H(4)O(5))(C(6)H(6)N(4)S(2))].H(2)O, displays a square-pyramidal coordination geometry. The tridentate oxydiacetate dianion chelates the Cu(II) atom in the facial mode. The large difference [0.487 (4) A] between the longest Cu-O distance in the basal plane and that in the apical direction correlates with the small displacement of the Cu(II) atom [0.0576 (13) A] from the basal plane towards the apex of the square pyramid. The intermolecular hydrogen-bonding network results in a closely overlapped arrangement of the coordination basal plane and the thiazole ring of a neighboring molecule.

Abstract:The title compound, [Cu2(C10H2O8)(H2O)4] n , is isostructural with the analogous Zn polymeric compound [Wang, Lu, Yang, Zhao & Ng (2007). Acta Cryst. E63, m2986]. Each CuII ion is coordinated by five O atoms [Cu - O = 1.968 (2)-2.268 (3) Å] in a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The coordinating water mol-ecules are involved in inter-molecular O - H⋯O hydrogen bonds [O⋯O = 2.726 (3)-2.767 (3) Å], which consolidate the packing. © International Union of Crystallography 2007.

Abstract:In the title complex, {[Pr(C2O4)1.5(H2O)2]·H2O}n, the PrIII ion, which lies on a crystallographic inversion centre, is coordinated by seven O atoms from four oxalate ligands and two O atoms from two water ligands; further Pr—O coordination from tetradentate oxalate ligands forms a three-dimensional structure. The compound crystallized as a monohydrate, the water molecule occupying space in small voids and being secured by O—H...O hydrogen bonding as an acceptor from ligand water H atoms and as a donor to oxalate O-acceptor sites.

Abstract:The polymeric title complex, [Co(C8H8O5)(H2O)(2)](n) was synthesized by reaction of cobalt acetate with 7-oxabicyclo[2,2,1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylic anhydride. The Co-II ion is six-coordinated in a distorted octahedral environment, binding to two water O atoms, to the ether O atom of the bicycloheptane unit, to two carboxylate O atoms from two different carboxylate groups of the same anion and to one carboxylate O atom from a symmetry-related anion. The bridging character of the dianion leads to the formation of ribbons along [001]. The ribbons are linked into a layered network parallel to (010) by several O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bonding interactions involving the coordinating water molecules as donors and the carboxylate O atoms of neighbouring ribbons as acceptors. The crystal under investigation was an inversion twin.

Abstract:The HoIII center in the title coordination polymer, {[Ho2(C4H4O4)3(H2O)2]·H2O} n , is nine-coordinated in a tricapped trigonal prism by eight O atoms, derived from six carboxylate groups and a water molecule. One of the independent succinate anions is located about a crystallographic center of inversion and the uncoordinated water molecule lies on a twofold axis. The crystal structure comprises edge-shared HoO9 polyhedra linked by succinate bridges, forming a three-dimensional network structure.
