Abstract:The microstructures of the different kinds of needle coke made with different kinds of coal are analyzed by the polarizing optical microscope. The coal that is suitable for making needle coke should contain less QI, more β component and appropriate amount of γ component and its components with boiling point higher than 430℃ should as little as possible.
