Abstract:The energy saving and environmental protection industry lists the first in the seven big strategic new and developing industries in our country. It keeps a difference between its connotation and the traditional environmental protection industry. The paper unscrambles the connotation of environmental protection industry in our country from the strategic new and developing angle of view, and points out that environmental protection industry in our country presents the shortages in the three basic characteristics of“enterprising spirit”,“innovation”and“penetrability”. The industry development takes recovery as the leading position, and self-determination innovation and finance innovation capacities are weak, industry integration development and penetration and leading function are insufficiency. The paper puts forward the relevant development countermeasures.
