Abstract:As the mainstream economic s in the western countries,the international economics pays little attention to the influences of domestic political factors,especially the important functions of political system in the foreign economic policy making.The international political economy(IPE),being a new discipline,has brought political factors into the economic analytical framework,in which the foreign economic policy is studied from an associative perspective of politics and economics.In countries with the system of representative democracy,the policy preferences of the interest groups which are the major bodies of behaviors of the political system and the parties of both left and right wings,as well as the different models of democracy,all have important influences on the choice of the trade policies,the exchange rate policies and the capital flow policies.
