Abstract:Metal-mediated selective construction of useful organophosphorus compounds from group IV metallocenes, especially zirconium and titanium with cyclopentadienyl (Cp) ligands, has been paid much more attention in recent years. The different reactivity of the two M-C bonds within zirconocene or titanocene simultaneous introduce phosphorus group ([P]) and other functional group (FG), which can design and prepare a large diversity of organophosphorus compounds with high selectivity. In this review, we would like to summarize the typical examples of conversion reactions from a series of three- to six-membered metallacyles of group IV metals to various types of functionalized organophosphorus derivatives, which mainly include direct transformation to the corresponding phosphacycles and bifunctionalization of alkene and alkyne via group IV metallocene. In addition, we also give the application of the resulting functionalized organophosphorus compounds, such as in coordination chemistry, catalysis, and optical materials. (C) 2020 Elsevier B.V.
