Expression of Survivin in the Laterally Spreading Colorectal Tumor

Abstract:Objective To explore the expression of Survivin and Caspase3 in Laterally Spreading Tumor(LST) and its relations with tumor cell apoptosis.Methods The immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of Survivin and Caspase 3 in LST、colorectal adenoma、colorectal carcinoma and normal tissues.Results Survivin was expressed higher in colorectal carcinoma(61.9%),also expressed lower level in the LST(21.7%) and colorectal adenoma(20.6%),but not expressed in normal tissues.Caspase 3 was expressed higher level in normal tissues(90.9%).It was expressed lower level in the LST(60.9%) and colorectal adenoma(64.7%),and the lowest level in the colorectal carcinoma(42.9%).Conclusion The expression of Survivin and Caspase3 protein was shown the same way in the LST and colorectal adenoma,but it was different with colorectal carcinoma.It was suggested that the LST and adenoma was the precancerous lesions.
