Abstract:This study focuses on whether China's financial system still needs market-oriented transition after the recent global financial crisis, which suggests financial liberalisation may weaken financial stability. We analyse the structure of the financial system and highlight the fact that the current system is not well configured for dealing with fluctuation. The good economic performance over the crisis is mainly built on the administrative resources deployed that counterbalanced the negative effect of short-term fluctuation. The high cost of this makes market liberalisation reform imperative. We take the German financial model as an example to indicate how financial liberalisation and stability can coexist under certain conditions.

Abstract:The global economy may not necessarily face a double dip recession this year and in 2013.Theeuro-area economy will likely face more challenges than the US this year.Should the economicsituation in Italy and France continues to deteriorate,a banking crisis could be triggered.Since it isdifficult to make necessary adjustments in the wake of the fiscal and balance-sheet crisis,the USeconomy may continue to grow slowly in the coming several years,possibly dipping into recession in2013.The Chinese economy has been facing more challenges in the new global environment even if theworld economy could indeed avoid a double dip in the coming two years.It is time for China to getprepared for the worst scenario and take measures to ward off any systematic financial crisis.

Abstract:There are eight factors as follows:the excess global liquidity, the financial assets, the rapid growth of the foreign exchange market and exchange rate fluctuations, the rapid growth of financial derivatives, the hedge funds, private equity funds and the rapid growth of sovereign funds, the U.S.dollar as a super financial hegemony, the high concentration of wealth, the global economic and financial imbalances.They make the world economy virtualization very fast and obvious also result the crises.Virtualization economy enables us fundamentally to change a few things:firstly is much more money.But the currency is decided by the central bank, liquidity is determined by themarket, which is particularly important concept.The financial sector starts its own service and leaves the original purpose.The financial sector works for its own service is the financial trouble's real reason because he has been divorced from any reality.The huge hedge and private equity funds upset the most basic assumptions and the premise that the market is balanced.And the high concentration of wealth further strengthens the whole process in the end, which ultimately shapes the formation of a financial crisis.The financial crisis still continues.Now the market stability, the stock market rebound and easing liquidity do not mean that the crisis has passed.The financial crisis brought a loss of about 3.2 trillionU.S.dollars.While up to now global financial institutions have written off non-performing assets of 1.3 trillion U.S.dollars only.There are still two trillion U.S.dollars waiting to be written off.The further volatility in financial markets will be inevitable.

Abstract:Since the 1990s,with the acceleration of global financialization of economics,financial industry has detached from entity economy and begun self-service expansion.Like an unfettered wild horse,financial industry's self-expansion is doomed to a disastrous result,which is the main reason for 2008 world financial crisis.The crisis eventually destroyed the old order,changed fundamentally existing global economic,financial and political structure.In the turbulent period when the old world disappeared and the new one has not stabilized,we need to think about how to grasp the chance,meet the challenge and own the future world.

Abstract:The world economy will likely suffer from the ongoing financial and public finance crises for a long time. I argue that we will be in an era of three worlds consisting of rich countries, poor countries, and China. China's role will be especially important in the coming adjustment process that will follow the financial crises. China needs to resolve these critical economic issues in the coming decade: Reduce the trade surplus, support the stability of the international financial system, and promote key reforms in the international economic system. Those will be of great benefit not only to China but it will also benefit the world.

Abstract:Asymmetrical financial globalization implies that developing countries have to bear greater costs and risks than developed countries. It is a problem of the global system and is the underlying cause of the subprime crisis and the new type of global financial crisis. It is also the international system framework which China has to confront in its future development. By means of an implementation mechanism,China may change its role in the asymmetrical financial globalization,thus shifting from passively taking risks to actively dispersing them,and turning into a great power with coordinated development of its virtual economy and real economy.

Abstract:The "Great Change Unseen in a Century" could be correctly understood from three aspects:What is its material basis?What is the change?Where is it leading the world?The author believes that the material basis is that China has gained a higher position in the international division of labor and initially become one of the leaders in terms of international division of labor,while the role of the traditional major powers is declining relatively.China's influence in the world economy is the most important economic foundation of this "Great Change Unseen in a Century".This Great Change is only a change in the balance of forces in the world and a readjustment of the world order,it is not a fundamental change in the world order.In the face of the current "Great Change",various forces are actively working for the readjustment of the world order so as to benefit from the future world order readjustment.Therefore,the "Great Change”does not mean that the world will naturally move towards fairness,prosperity and progress.Its final trend depends on the balance of power between various forces and what actions they might take.At this historic juncture,China not only need to actively make the world order develop towards security,justice and common prosperity,but also need to be aware of risks,have a bottom line thinking,and pay attention to guarding against potential risks in the process of the great change.

Abstract:The Subprime Mortgage Crisis in U.S. had transmitted to almost the whole world through many transmission channels just in a few months since 2007, and made most of countries plunge into Finance Crisis. However, the repercussions were discrepant among countries because of the different economic structures and macro-economic policy orientations. Abstract:The US dollar index has undergone dramatic changes during the financial crisis,as evidenced by the sharp decline at the beginning,the rapid rise during the severe period and the decrease again following the initial signs of economic recovery,which is different from the weak dollar policy before the financial crisis.As the birthplace of this crises,the US is taking advantage of dollar's special status and makes it a global strategic weapon against the financial crisis so as to minimize its own losses with its world hegemony in this regard.Meanwhile,the US is trying to regain its dominant role in the world economy and politics.In order to improve its capability in rational economic development,China should develop its foreseeing ability against external attacks,reduce or at least do not increase its holdings of US treasuries when US dollar does not depreciate seriously.Meanwhile,China should enhance its own voice,and find solutions to problems related to foreign exchange reserve by developing a "Chinese dollar" market.In addition,efforts should also be made to set up and expand the future markets of commodities such as crude oil and ironstone,thus bringing down the overdependence on developed countries.Moreover,China should develop its own national policy to improve the home affordability,and avoid blindly following the US to develop the new energy industry.

Abstract:Given the recent global financial crisis and debate on the decline of the US,there are two typical views on international order,namely,the Age of Nonpolarity and the Post-American Era.The international relations tend to develop towards flatenization,and the international power will be distributed in a flat pattern.The big powers,the regional and trans-regional state groups,and major international organizations and institutions will share power in an increasingly equal way.The demand of reform of international financial system against this financial crisis is a reflection of such trend.Though the relative positions of big powers will not be significantly changed after the crisis,dramatic changes did occur in the adjustments of international institutions and systems.

Abstract:: The impact of the 2008 - 2009 global financial crisis on Western developed countries, especially the Anglo-American economies, is far-reaching and is reflected on economic, political, and social dimensions. A large body of scholars from various disciplines has attempted to explain the outbreak of the financial crisis. This study analyzed the relationship between economic globalization and the global financial crisis, and explored the impact of the crisis on China from a financial geography perspective. First, this study examined the formation of a new international labor division in the context of economic globalization, identified the transmission dynamics of the financial crisis, and mapped the changing geographies of world economies shaped by the financial crisis. With regard to China, the global financial crisis was external. The economic recession and consumption contraction of Western developed countries have directly affected China's exports, but the financial crisis has not fundamentally affected China's financial system. Second, the article explains why the global financial crisis did not impact China's financial system. The spatial heterogeneity of institutions, the varieties of market economic systems, the government's positive role and control, and China's banking- dominant financial system were all important contributors. Third, the interests of Chinese and international financial geographers on China have gradually increased in the last decade and this article summarizes the latest research progress and identifies the shortcomings of the existing research. Finally, based on the research progress of Western financial geography, this article puts forward some suggestions for the construction of China's financial geography in the future.

Abstract:Since the eruption of the global financial crisis in 2008,the world has witnessed an apparent divergence of economic trends in Europe,the US and the emerging market economies.While the divergence of economic trends in Europe,the US and the emerging market economies.While the situation is getting worse in Europe,the US has a more promising future and the emerging market economies need to find a path to regain high-rate growth.The real side of the US economy has not been severely damaged and the US financial and household balance sheets have been largely repaired at a fast pace.The US will see its economic growth accelerate as it boasts low financing costs,low energy prices,declining labor costs,and advantages in technology and markets,despite the short-term headwind,mainly the fiscal cliff.Since the deleveraging process in Europe has just started and due to the flawed design of the eurozone system,which has failed to unify national sovereignty and monetary policy,the eurozone will have to go through a long and painful period of economic deleveraging and political coordination.The eurozone may renew capital control and form a mechanism in which one currency coexists with multiple exchange rates and benchmark interest rates.This process might take more than 10 years: The eurozone is becoming the next Japan.The emerging market economies may face severe challenges of waning globalization and reform dividends and decelerating economic growth.We could see severe capital outflow and even financial crisis in some emerging market economies over the next two or three years.They,including the BRICS(Brazil,Russia,India,China and South Africa),need to expedite and deepen their reforms.

Abstract:The global financial crisis triggered by American subprime mortgage crisis results from the financial systems,led by Wall Street,of Europe and the United States which violate such three principles of financial industry as being rooted in industry and commerce,strict risk management and control,as well as moderate leverage rate.China's financial industry should prevent such five trends as excessive overlapping policies,increasing enterprises' financing cost,too much privileged consciousness,too high income and weak service consciousness.Crisis-prevention should use such four balances as the gross proportion of loan to GDP 1∶1,gross proportion of securities market value to GDP 1∶1,gross proportion of total real estate value to GDP 1∶1,and gross proportion of national sovereign debt plus social security expenditure to GDP 1∶1.Crisis solution should not only depend on self-circulation of financial industry but rely on scientific and technological progress and tangible economy development.

Abstract:The on-going global public debt crisis since 2010 reflects some new changes of world capitalism in production,industrial relations,operating mechanism and the sharp contrast between political equality and economic inequality.Deficit financing,public debt and the consequent inflation are the derivation of the extreme disparity and gradually become the most important macro-regulation method and mode of economic growth.Global public crisis is the result of internal movement under capitalistic logic.The future world economic crisis will be increasingly tied to public debt and will follow the "interactive crisis model of product market-financial market-public debt market".China will also face the problem of public debt,especially that of the hidden debts.China should pay more attention to its own problems during the global crisis.Only changes in the fundamental economic system can guard against the global public debt crisis and keep a country from domestic public debt crisis.

Abstract:terms of scope since the Great Depression. No country has been immune to the economic slowdown. In advanced economies, the financial crisis and the global recession that followed the burst of the global financial bubble have brought severe consequences in terms of employment and output. In developing countries, output contraction, growth slowdown, and rising unemployment have come hand in hand with higher borrowing costs, sluggish export growth, and a significant reduction in international capital flows. As a result, poverty has increased. The global financial crisis has left lasting effects on the structure of financial markets, international capital flows, and the cost of capital for developing countries. The efforts of governments and international financial institutions to buffer the impact of the crisis have been quick and aimed in the right direction. However, many risks remain for the road to recovery. This paper provides a brief explanation of how the current global financial crisis originated, and the underlying factors that turned a relatively small collapse in the subprime mortgage market in the United States into a global crisis. It also explores similarities and differences between the current crisis and past experiences. This comparison can provide a better understanding of the main determinants and transmission mechanisms involved, which can help in the design of a better response to the current situation on the one hand, and in the prevention of future crises or minimizations of their impact on the other. Finally, the paper discusses lessons that can be learned for developing countries, focusing on the policies that governments can implement to mitigate the effects of crises and factors that are important for reducing the risks of experiencing a crisis.
