The Survey of Existing Circumstances and Countermeasure Research of Medical Students of Internet Addiction Disorder

Abstract:Objective To discuss the status and influential factors of medical students of internet addiction disorder for forming a foundation for effective intervening to them.Methods According to Young' s diagnosing scale of internet addiction disorder,we had researched the medical students each major and the grade from 2005 to 2009 of the Medical College of Qinghai University by the way of questionnaire and the method of cluster sampling.Results Among the 545 investigated medical students,48 students were internet addicted,and ratio of the internet addicted relevance were 8.8％,and ratio of the boy medical students were 14.0％,the girl' s were 5.3％ that had obvious statistical significance (P＜0.05) ; there were obviously statistic difference of the relevance ratio between students of different major which was listed from the highest one to the lowest one as flowing:Tibetan medicine,clinical medicine,traditional Chinese medicine,public health and pharmacy; and there were no relationship between relevance ratio with age,nation,native place,inhabitancy and there was not obviously statistic difference (P＞0.05).Conclusions The study and life of medical students of internet addiction disorder have influenced obviously,that the society,schools and families have to take effective measure to intervene from psychology and action.
