Abstract:Owing to the problem of residuals of chemical composition and environmental pollution caused by traditional chemical water treatment,new water treatment technologies should be developed imminently.In present study,non-thermal plasma technology was introduced to investigate sterilization effect against E.coli in water.Experiments had been performed with different electrical voltage,water depth,gases and electrode fins.The results showed that non-thermal plasma had good sterilization effect and can be used conveniently,fast,safely and without residual left.Thus the non-thermal plasma technology is suitable for sterilizing drinking water or sewage.
