Abstract:"Polymer Chemistry" is one of the excellent courses in South China University of Technology (SCUT), which is also the Core professional course for polymer material and engineering specialty in SCUT. Good foundation in polymer chemistry would help the students to understanding the following professional curriculum in the field of material science and engineering. In this paper, several suggestions, including interactive and visualized teaching, case teaching, combined with scientific research and promoting the innovation ability of students, were put forward according to teaching practice and exploration of the polymer chemistry course and the professional engineering discipline characteristics, which might help to improving the students' innovation ability and the interest in learning.
