Abstract:The method of damage identification with modal index and the artificial neural networks is introduced in this paper . A cantilever column with different damage is analyzed and its modal parameter is gained . Damage location of the cantilever column is identified ultimately by using the BP neural networks and damage index which is sensitivity to damage location .
