Abstract:Advances in tea plant genetic and breeding research, including studies on tea plant germplasms, gene cloning and molecular breeding, chemical composition of tea cuhivars and its relation to tea quality, tea plant physiology and resistance breeding, propagation and cultivation of new tea cuhivars, were reviewed in the present paper.
