Learn more.Copy URL Graphical Abstract Single-crystalline poly(furfuryl alcohol) nanostructures have been synthesized in toluene solvent systems via a simple solvothermal reaction. The π–π stacking interaction is proved to be quite efficient and necessary in fabricating the 1D crystalline nanostructures. These Au nanoparticles are then used to catalyze the vapor transport growth of metal oxide nanowires, where distinct density-dependent growth regimes are identified.
