Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the effects of laporoscopic resection applied to patients with colorectal cancer on ET and NO.【Methods】35 patients suffering from colorectal cancer, who were admitted to our department from June 2006 to March 2007,were selected, and were divided into 2 groups(15 cases in laparoscopic group,20 cases in laparotomy group).Blood ET,NO,NO/ET levels and general clinical data were examined in peri-opera-tive stage to find the differences between the two groups.【Results】There were no significant differences in sex, age, height, weight between the two groups(P >0.05).The operation time was longer but blood loss was less in laparo-scopic group than in laparotomy group(P <0.05).The blood ET level on the 1st post-operative day in laparoscopic group was significantly lower than that before operation(P <0.05),which resumed on the 3rd day after operation.Blood ET levels of patients in laparotomy group remained almost the same during the peri-operation stage.Blood NO levels decreased significantly after operation in both groups(P <0.05).Blood NO level restored to the previous level on the 2nd day after operation in laparotomy group, however on the 3rd day in laparoscopic group.NO/ET decreased significantly when the operation was finished in laparotomy group(P <0.05),and resumed at the 2nd day after operation but decreased again on the 5th postoperative day.NO/ET decreased significantly at the 1st day after operation in laparoscopic group(P <0.05),which resumed at the 3rd day after operation and remained stable.【Conclu-sions】 Laparoscopic resection applied to patients with colorectal cancer has less influence on the stability of patients' hemodynamics than laparotomy.
