Abstract:Membranous nephropathy (MN), an autoimmune disease, can manifest at any age and is among the most common causes of nephrotic syndrome in adults. In 80% of cases, the specific etiology of MN remains unknown, while the remaining cases are linked to drug use or underlying conditions like systemic lupus erythematosus, hepatitis B virus, or malignancy. Although about one‐third of patients may achieve spontaneous complete or partial remission with conservative management, another third face an elevated risk of disease progression, potentially leading to end‐stage renal disease within 10 years. The identification of phospholipase A2 receptor as the primary target antigen in MN has brought about a significant shift in disease management and monitoring. This review explores recent advancements in the pathophysiology of MN, encompassing pathogenesis, clinical presentations, diagnostic criteria, treatment options, and prognosis, with a focus on emerging developments in pathogenesis and therapeutic strategies aimed at halting disease progression. By synthesizing the latest research findings and clinical insights, this review seeks to contribute to the ongoing efforts to enhance our understanding and management of this challenging autoimmune disorder.
Rhabdomyolysis: Clinical Analysis of Sixty Three Cases

Abstract:Objective To investigate clinical feature,therapy and prognosis of 63 (rhabdomyolysis,RM) patients.Methods Retrospective analysis was used for the 63 patients who were from Nanjing from Janurary 2010 to August of 2016.Results Clinical history:the pathogenic factors mainly contained eating lobster,excessive exercise,lipid-lowering drugs,and minority patients were induced by infection,cardiac defibrillation,alcohol,and unexplained factors.Clinical features:most patients presented different degree of muscle soreness and weakness,and urine color of soy sauce;and few patients manifested a fever,respiratory distress and sound hoarse.Of which 11 RM patients concurrent acute kidney injury (AKI),there was no obvious bias of pathogenic factors among 11 patients.Clinical examination:the data was described by median,including creatine kinase 6 400 U/L,aspartate aminotransferase 399 U/L,lactate dehydrogenase 816 U/L,α-hydroxybutyric acid 445 U/L,and myoglobin 1 200 ng/ml.Creatine kinase and myoglobin were selected to measure muscle injure,there was no significant difference among the groups (P ＞ 0.05).Renal tubular injury index such as urincosmotic pressure,urine retinol-binding protein and N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase (NAG) enzyme,the abnormal percentage were 62.5％,50％,and 47.6％.Treatment:patients without complications through resting,water infusion,urine alkalization,were cured;and 11 cases of patients with AKI,1 case gave up,5 cases underwent hemodialysis,and 5 cases underwent conservative treatment,creatinine decreased to the basic level.Conclusions Among different pathogenic factors of RM,there were no obvious differences in clinlcal symptom,muscle damage degree,and whether the coexistence of AKI and prognosis.The understanding of RM,early diagnosis and treatment would prevent AKI and improve the prognosis.

Abstract:Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common chronic liver disease with an increasing morbidity. However, its pathogenesis is still elusive and its diagnosis and treatment need to be improved. The emergence of proteomics has pushed NAFLD research forward and twenty-one associated studies have been reported by now. Recent progress in proteomic techniques allows evaluation of molecular changes associated with disease, thereby permitting to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Herein, the application of proteomics in the study of the diagnosis, pathogenesis and other related fields of NAFLD were comprehensively reviewed. Firstly, empirical knowledge about categories of subjects and samples, experimental methods and biomarker selection was summarized. Secondly, in addition to studies utilizing proteomics to explore roles of etiological factors, risk factors and important molecules in the pathogenesis of NAFLD, studies of NAFLD pathogenesis by the means of subcellular proteomics, modification-specific proteomics, and the integration of proteomics and transcriptomics were also shown. Thirdly, methods for analyzing differentially expressed proteins and implications of these results were highlighted. It's hoped that this review can help to promote the application of proteomics in exploring disease pathogenesis and discovering novel biomarkers and treatment targets.
[Nursing Care of One Patient with Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorders Complicated with Pressure Ulcers].

Abstract:On February 11, 2019, a 37-year-old female patient with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders was admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and her acute osteomyelitis was caused by infection of multiple pressure ulcer wounds with Staphylococcus aureus. The patient was diagnosed and treated with multidisciplinary cooperation. The nurses focused on the strict observation of the syndrome of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders during hormone reduction therapy, guarded against the rebound of condition, implemented wound care in stages according to the diagnosis and treatment plan, maintained effective drainage, ensured appropriate negative pressure, and strengthened nutrition to promote wound healing. After active treatment and careful nursing care, the patient recovered and was discharged on the 39th day after admission.

Abstract:Purpose of review: This review summarizes recent advances in our understanding of the genetics of rhabdomyolysis. Recent findings: Rhabdomyolysis is the acute breakdown of myofibres resulting in systemic changes that can be life-threatening. Environmental triggers, including trauma, exercise, toxins and infections, and/or gene defects can precipitate rhabdomyolysis. A schema (aptly titled RHABDO) has been suggested for evaluating whether a patient with rhabdomyolysis is likely to harbour an underlying genetic defect. It is becoming increasingly recognized that defects in muscular dystrophy and myopathy genes can trigger rhabdomyolysis, even as the sole or presenting feature. Variants in genes not previously associated with human disease have been identified recently as causative of rhabdomyolysis, MLIP , MYH1 and OBSCN . Our understanding of the pathomechanisms contributing to rhabdomyolysis have also improved with an increased awareness of the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in LPIN1 , FDX2 , ISCU and TANGO2 -mediated disease. Summary: An accurate genetic diagnosis is important for optimal clinical management of the patient, avoiding associated triggers and genetic counselling and cascade screening. Despite recent advances in our understanding of the genetics contributing to rhabdomyolysis, many patients remain without an accurate genetic diagnosis, suggesting there are many more causative genes, variants and disease mechanisms to uncover.
Diagnosis and Treatment of Severe Pneumonia Complicated with Rhabdomyolysis,acute Renal Failure and Review of Literatures

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore the diagnosis and treatment of severe pneumonia complicated with rhabdomyoly-sis,acute renal failure and improve the prognosis of the patients.METHODS The clinical manifestations,diagno-sis,and treatment of 2 patients with severe pneumonia were analyzed,and the literatures were retrieved from 2004 to 2013 and were reviewed.RESULTS The two cases of severe pneumonia were male,they were 40 and 62 years old,respectively,the levels of creatine kinase (CK)were elevated by 10 109 and 8 406 U/L,respectively,the levels of myoglobinuria,creatinine were elevated by 242 and 721μmol/L,respectively.Patient 1 was treated with mechanical ventilation due to severe hypoxemia,and patient 2 received hemodialysis due to severe renal failure.Af-ter the treatment,the respiratory and renal functions of both patients recovered completely.Totally 20 cases of pneumonia complicated with rhabdomyolysis,acute renal failure have been retrieved from the literatures,with the age ranging between 24 and 85 years old,and 16 cases were male,accounting for 80.0%.The Legionella (7 strains),influenza A virus (5 strains),and Staphylococcus spp (5 strains,and 4 methicillin-resistant strains) were the major species of pathogens.Totally 8 cases received the mechanical ventilation,11 cases received the blood purification therapy,and 6 cases received the mechanical ventilation and the blood purification therapy at the same time;3 cases died,1 7 cases survived,among whom 1 6 cases had the complete recovery of renal function. CONCLUSION The pneumonia complicated with rhabdomyolysis,acute renal failure is rare,the severe patients who need both the mechanical ventilation and the blood purification therapy are at a higher risk of death,while al-most all of the survivors can regain their full renal functions.
[Diagnosis and treatment of 23 cases with rhabdomyolysis related acute renal failure]

Abstract:Objective: To investigate the occurrence rate, therapeutic effect and prognosis of rhabdomyolysis related acute renal failure(RM-ARF). Methods: Twenty-three patients were investigated, 17 male and 6 female, mean age was (38.00+/-17.13) years. The blood samples of 23 patients were analyzed, using a series of serum creatine phosphokinases (CPK) and L-lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and biochemical detection items, including serum myoglobin, serum electrolytes (Na(+), K(+), Cl(-), Ca(2+), P(3+), HCO(-3)), liver and renal function, serum albumin, uric acid, hemoglobulin, arterial blood-gas analysis, the results of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) etc. Three patients were undergone renal biopsy and immunohistological En Vision test of renal tubular myoglobin deposits. Results: The occurrence rate of RM-ARF was 5.96% of all ARF patients. Serum CPK level and some electrolytes increased significantly. Renal pathology indicated acute tubular necrosis in 3 patients with all positive immunohistological results of myoglobin. Eight patients had muscular injury without muscular biopsy identified, that extrarenal hemopurification as hemodialysis(HD), continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), continuous venous venous hemofiltration (CVVH) were examined in 18 patients. After treatment, the mortality rate of RM-ARF was about 34.78%(8/23), the rest patients survived and 12 patients recovered with normal renal function. Conclusion: The most pathogenesis of RM are not traumatic. The test of CPK level and some biochemical detection items is an effective way to raise the diagnosis rate. Renal biopsy can make the diagnosis of RM-ARF in early stage, and improve the prognosis, lower the mortality rate.
Repeated and progressive rhabdomyolysis due to a novel carnitine palmitoyltransferase II gene variant in an adult male: A case report

Abstract:Introduction: The occurrence of repeated and progressive rhabdomyolysis is rare in clinical settings, particularly in adults. The pathogenesis of rhabdomyolysis is often overlooked due to its rapid recovery. Carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT) II deficiency could be a rare etiology of repetitive nontraumatic rhabdomyolysis, and several mutations of CPT II have been reported. Patient concerns: A 41-year-old man presented with high fever, general malaise, myalgia, dyspnea, and dark-colored urine, and then progressed to anuria. In the past 15 years, he experienced dark-colored urine twice due to exercise and high fever. Physical examination revealed oliguria, suppurated tonsils, poor hemoglobin saturation, alert consciousness, normal neurological signs and reflexes, hypertension, and tachypnea. Laboratory investigations showed positive test results for inflammation, high serum myogenic enzyme levels, and evidence of acute kidney injury (AKI). Diagnoses: Investigations revealed an extremely high serum myogenic enzyme levels and impaired renal function with serum creatinine level of 510 μmol/L, consistent with the diagnosis of rhabdomyolysis, AKI stage 3, and acute respiratory distress syndrome. High levels of acylcarnitine in the serum confirmed the diagnosis of CPT II deficiency. In addition, whole exome sequencing (WES) was conducted in the patient and his mother. Interventions: Intubation, ventilator support, and hemodialysis were the major therapeutic interventions at the peak of disease progression. He was then administered valsartan tablets at a dosage of 80 mg per day and L-carnitine supplements. Outcomes: WES conducted in the patient and his mother revealed 2 novel mutations of CPT II (c.482G>A and c.1493G>T) in this patient. The patient recovered from the severe AKI but the renal function remained impaired at chronic kidney disease stage 3a. Conclusion: Thus, gene examination can help to understand the etiology of repetitive nontraumatic rhabdomyolysis. Accurate diagnosis can be beneficial for providing an individualized treatment for patients with repeated and progressive rhabdomyolysis.
Mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy of neonatal onset: a case report and literature review

Abstract:Objective To investiagte clinical manifestation and therapeutic methods of mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy((MNGIE),and improve the understanding and recognition of this disease.Methods Clinical data of the patient were collected, and mitochondrial respiratory chain enzyme activity of the peripheral white blood cells was examined,then the associated genes were sequenced according to the enzyme activity. The literatures were reviewed to summarize the clinical manifestation, treatment and prognosis of this disease.Results The initial symptoms were found 19 days after birth, including weight loss,refractory diarrhea,malnutrition and anemia.The mitochondrial respiratory chain composite enzyme test suggested the presence of mitochondrial respiratory chain composite enzyme defect, and peripheral white cell mitochondrial DNA sequencing confirmed A750G mutation at the MT-RNR1 locus,which led to rRNA structure change and resulted in the disease.After feeding with deep hydrolyzed protein milk, and treating with probiotics and vitamin B, the diarrhea improved and the child gained weight satisfactorily.Conclusions Children with early-onset refractory diarrhea should be considered as the possibility of MNGIE.
A Klebsiella pneumoniae liver abscess presenting with myasthenia and tea-colored urine: A case report and review of 77 cases of bacterial rhabdomyolysis.

Abstract:Rationale:Rhabdomyolysis is a well-known syndrome in clinical practice, although rhabdomyolysis caused by a liver abscess is rarely reported and the patient may lack symptoms that are associated with a primary site of infection. Early recognition of this possibility is needed to avoid diagnostic delay and facilitate treatment. We report the case of a 71-year-old woman with a Klebsiella pneumoniae (KP) pyogenic liver abscess who presented with myasthenia and tea-colored urine and also review the 77 reported cases of bacterial rhabdomyolysis.Patient concerns:The patient was 71 years old and presenting with a 7-day history of myasthenia and a 3-day history of tea-colored urine, but without fever or abdominal pain.Diagnoses:Laboratory testing in our case revealed rhabdomyolysis, and blood culture revealed KP. Abdominal ultrasonography revealed a hypoechoic enclosed mass, and computed tomography (CT) revealed an enclosed low-density mass (8.3x6.6x6.1cm). The main diagnoses were a pyogenic liver abscess with rhabdomyolysis.Interventions:Empirically intravenous piperacillin-sulbactam and intravenous potassium treatment, as well as fluid infusions and other supportive treatments were provided after admission. After the diagnosis was confirmed and susceptibility test results were available, we adjusted the antibiotics to cefoperazone and sulbactam, which were maintained for 6 weeks.Outcomes:The patient's symptoms relieved and the abnormal laboratory parameters corrected. Follow-up abdominal ultrasonography at 24 months after her discharge revealed that the abscess had disappeared.Lessons:Early recognition and careful consideration of the underlying cause of rhabdomyolysis are critical to improving the patient's prognosis. Thus, physicians should carefully consider the underlying cause in elderly patients who present with rhabdomyolysis, as they may lack symptoms of a primary infection.
Causative Study of Drug-induced Rhabdomyolysis

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To investigate and analyze the causative factors and characteristics of drug-induced rhabdomyolysis in China,in order to reduce the incidence of rhabdomyolysis. METHODS:Search all cases of rhabdomyolysis in China Knowledge Re-source Integrated Database from Jan 1975 to Jun 2014. Sex,age,disease history,drugs administered,drug combination,clinical presentation and outcome of rhabdomyolysis were censused and analyzed. RESULTS:There were altogether 185 rhabdomyolysis cas-es reported,of which 57.8% were over 60 years old ,78.9% were induced by lipid regulators,and 55.7% were by statins;74.1%occurred within 1 month after drug administration,and 86.6% became normal within 1 month when causative drugs discontinued or with treatment;and 4.9% died. CONCLUSIONS:Eldly,complicated with multi-factors,such as multiple organ dysfunction syn-drome,irrational drug combination and over-doses,especially with lipid regulators,are important causative factors of rhabdomyoly-sis. Individualized administration of drugs and prescription as less as possible should be recommended to reduce the incidence of rhabdomyolysis.
Clinical characteristics of rhabdomyolysis in children

Abstract:Objective:To summarize the etiology, laboratory examinations and clinical features of rhabdomyolysis(RM)in children.Methods:The clinical data of children with RM admitted to the pediatric general ward at Third Hospital of Peking University from January 1st, 2010 to March 31st, 2021 were collected.The clinical characteristics, etiology distribution, laboratory examinations, treatments and prognosis of the children were analyzed.Results:A total of 24 children were included with 16 males and 8 females.The age ranged from 4 to 15 years old, with median age was 13years old.The etiology was exertional diseases in 14 cases(58.3%), non-exertional diseases in ten cases (41.7%, 7 cases of infection and 3 cases of other causes). The average age of exertional RM was(13.50±1.83)years, and that of non-exertional RM was(8.60±3.72)years.There was significant difference( t=3.848, P=0.002). The main clinical symptoms were muscle soreness, abnormal urine color and muscle weakness.Serum creatine kinase(CK)and serum myoglobin were significantly increased.The proportion of CK value moderate to severe increased of exercise RM children was significantly higher than that of non-exertional RM children( P=0.009). All children were treated with hydration and alkalization.Except for one case who died of critical primary disease, the other 23 children had good treatment response, and no rhabdomyolysis was found during the follow-up. Conclusion:The main causes of rhabdomyolysis in children are exercise and infection.Exertional RM is common in elder children.The increasing of CK level caused by exertional RM is more obvious.Active hydration and alkalization measures could avoid the occurrence of acute kidney injury.Most children with RM have good prognosis.

Rhabdomyolysis caused by Botrychium ternatum intoxication: Case report and literature review

Abstract:Rhabdomyolysis (RM) is a pathological condition characterized by the rupture of skeletal muscle fibers and subsequent lysis of striated muscle cells for various etiological reasons. This process leads to the release of a significant quantity of intracellular muscle components into the systemic circulation, which possesses toxic properties and can inflict damage to tissues and organs. [ 1 ] The etiology of RM is multifaceted and can be broadly categorized into mechanical and nonmechanical determinants. Mechanical factors that contribute to muscle disorders include trauma, constriction, excessive exercise, and continuous muscle contraction. Conversely, non-mechanical factors include water and electrolyte disorders, endocrine diseases, excessive use of drugs and poisons, viral or bacterial infections, polymyositis, and metabolic myopathy resulting from genetic defects. [ 2 ] Trauma and drug usage are recognized as the prevalent etiological factors contributing to the occurrence of RM in adults. Clinically, drugs commonly cause RM, including HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors such as simvastatin and prvastatin, as well as the β2 receptor agonist terbutaline. [ 3 , 4 ] In children, infection is a common cause contributing to the occurrence of RM, constituting approximately one-third of all cases. [ 5 ] The clinical manifestation of RM is atypical. Muscle pain, weakness, and edema were the most frequently observed symptoms. However, it is noteworthy that up to 50% of patients do not experience concurrent muscle pain and weakness, [ 1 ] resulting in a missed diagnosis when the symptoms are minor.

Clinical Features of Acute Rhabdomyolysis in 55 Pediatric Patients

Abstract:Objective: This study was designed to compare the clinical manifestations, laboratory tests, etiology, and prognosis of children with acute rhabdomyolysis (RM) at various ages. This study was designed to analyze the risk factors for acute kidney injury (AKI) in children with RM and to identify the role of neuromuscular and autoimmune disease in children with RM.Methods: Clinical data for 55 children with RM were collected and statistically analyzed. Patients were stratified to an infant group (G1) (age <1 year), preschool group (G2) (age 1–6 year), school-age group (G3) (age 7–11 year), and an adolescent group (G4) (age 12–16 year).Results: The top three clinical manifestations were dark urine (52.7%), myalgia (38.2%), and fever (23.8%). Patients in G1 had fever (71.4%), vomiting (77.8%), and urinalysis abnormalities (14.3%), without triad clinical manifestations. Fifty percent of patients in G4 group had myalgia; 70.8% had dark urine; 75% had abnormal urine tests. The most common cause in each age group was as follows: sepsis (57.1%) in G1; hereditary neuromuscular diseases (44.4%) in G2; immune diseases (40%) in G3; strenuous exercise (50%) in G4. Logistic regression analysis shown that AKI was not corelated with age, gender, or peak creatine phosphokinase. AKI was, however, associated with presence of an electrolyte disorder.Conclusion: The clinical manifestations and laboratory findings in infants with acute RM are not typical and need to be taken seriously. The presence of an electrolyte disorder is a risk factor for AKI in children with RM. The most common pathogenesis of RM varies among age groups. Congenital hereditary metabolic disease and immune diseases should not be ignored as a cause of RM in children.

Abstract:Rhabdomyolysis (RM) leads to dysfunction in the core organs of kidney, lung and heart, which is an important reason for the high mortality and disability rate of this disease. However, there is a lack of systematic research on the characteristics of rhabdomyolysis-induced injury in various organs and the underlying pathogenetic mechanisms, and especially the interaction between organs. We established a rhabdomyolysis model, observed the structural and functional changes in kidney, heart, and lung. It is observed that rhabdomyolysis results in significant damage in kidney, lung and heart of rats, among which the pathological damage of kidney and lung was significant, and of heart was relatively light. Meanwhile, we analyzed the differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) in the kidney, heart and lung between the RM group and the sham group based on liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). In our study, Serpina3n was significantly up-regulated in the kidney, heart and lung. Serpina3n is a secreted protein and specifically inhibits a variety of proteases and participates in multiple physiological processes such as complement activation, inflammatory responses, apoptosis pathways, and extracellular matrix metabolism. It is inferred that Serpina3n may play an important role in multiple organ damage caused by rhabdomyolysis and could be used as a potential biomarker. This study comprehensively describes the functional and structural changes of kidney, heart and lung in rats after rhabdomyolysis, analyzes the DEPs of kidney, heart and lung, and determines the key role of Serpina3n in multiple organ injury caused by rhabdomyolysis. Abstract:Background/Aims: Rhabdomyolysis, one of the leading causes of acute kidney injury (AKI), develops after trauma, drug toxicity, infections, burns, and physical exertion. The aim of this study was to investigate differences in gene and protein expression to elucidate the pathogenesis of rhabdomyolysis (RM)-induced AKI. Methods: In this study, we used glycerol induced renal injury as a model of RM-induced AKI. Affymetrix U133 plus 2.0 microarrays were used to perform gene microarray analysis. Isobaric tagging with related and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) labeling mass spectrometry (MS) was applied to screen and identify differentially expressed proteins between RM-induced AKI and normal murine renal tissue. Verification experiments included immunohistochemistry (IHC), real-time PCR, Western blotting, and the measurement of ATP and ROS production. HK-2 cells were incubated in vitro with ferrous myoglobin and pcDNA-TTR, followed by assays to detect cell proliferation, ROS and apoptosis. Results: According to gene microarray and iTRAQ-MS analysis, we screened 17 common elements. After multiple analyses, we selected transthyretin (TTR) as our focus and investigated TTR in the kidney. Verification experiments with IHC confirmed differential expression levels of TTR proteins. Furthermore, Western blotting showed a stepwise decrease in TTR in AKI renal tissues. Cell-based experiments showed that overexpression of TTR could improve HK-2 cell viability and inhibit apoptosis. TTR reduced apoptosis by decreasing the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Conclusion: This study reports a possible mechanism for RM-induced AKI and suggests that reductions in TTR could increase the generation of ROS and induce apoptosis. TTR may be a potentially valuable target for RM-induced AKI.
[Investigation of etiologies for acute renal failure due to rhabdomyolysis in 5 patients]

Abstract:We experienced 5 cases of acute renal failure due to rhabdomyolysis during the last two years and investigated those etiologies. Diagnosis of rhabdomyolysis was established by the detection of elevated serum creatine phosphokinase, myoglobin, aldolase, myoglobinuria as well as by the clinical course. The respective underlying illness of the 5 cases were grand mal seizures, infection (high fever), heat stroke, diabetes mellitus with hyperosmolar nonketotic coma and cerebral infarction treated by barbiturate. In this investigation, however, any single cause was not enough as the etiologies of rhabdomyolysis. There were multiple factors responsible to rhabdomyolysis in each case, such as hypokalemia, hypophosphatemia, shock, arteriosclerosis, etc. Some cases could not be classified as traumatic or non-traumatic rhabdomyolysis. Thus, in one case, acute renal failure due to rhabdomyolysis induced by the combination of grand mal seizures and serum potassium/phosphate depletion. 2 cases recovered without hemodialysis. 3 cases died in multiple organ failure, included a case treated by hemodialysis. We conclude that acute renal failure due to rhabdomyolysis induced easily by numerous diseases and early diagnosis is recommended.

Abstract:We initially described two children who developed Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) complicated by rhabdomyolysis (RML), and reviewed five adult patients from the literature. Through analysis of the clinical features, laboratory examination, treatment and prognostic data from these seven patients, we found that when GBS "meets" RML, the most prominent characteristics were the following: male dominance; limb weakness, pain and respiratory failure could be caused by multiple factors; limb weakness and respiratory muscle paralysis were more serious than with GBS alone; and the probability of mechanical ventilation was increased. Neuroelectrophysiological studies revealed axonal lesions. Close monitoring and timely identification and intervention to remedy potentially fatal complications such as electrolyte disorder multisystem complications and kidney injury are crucial. With plasma exchange, peritoneal dialysis and supportive treatment, the long-term outcome of most patients was satisfactory.
Analysis of subjective and objective safety risks in nursing care of pediatric hematologic diseases.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore safety risks in the common nursing care of pediatric hematologic diseases. METHODS A total of 100 children with hematologic diseases treated in our hospital were included and randomly divided into a control group (n = 49) and an observation group (n = 51). Children in the control group received routine nursing according to previous practice, while children in the observation group received special environmental nursing with a large number of nurses who had received professional nursing education. After a period of time, the related satisfaction of the two groups of patients was investigated and compared. RESULTS There were significant differences in nursing environment, the quantity of nursing staff, and the nursing level between the control group and the observation group. The proportion of patients with treatment compliance and accident incidence in the observation group was significantly different from that in the control group, indicating some safety risks in the nursing care of pediatric hematologic diseases. CONCLUSION Reducing the probability of various risks in the process of nursing care can create a high-quality and comfortable rehabilitation environment for patients, so as to improve the patients' satisfaction with the service of medical staffs.
