Abstract:The pellets as a multiple-unit drug delivery system offer outstanding advantages over the single-unit dosage form,have become a hotspot in research on oral solid formulation.The extrusion spheronization method,being widely used in preparing pellets recently,however,has drawbacks on the control of technological parameters,inducing the difficulty on the formability of pellets.Current review outlines evaluation of wet powder mass and pellet quality,then focuses on the formulation and operational variables,which are correlate with the formability of pellets.
