Abstract:Isatin(indole-2,3-dione) is a very important pharmaceutical intermediates and raw material.This review summarized a variety of structural modification of C3-substituted isatin derivatives and its physiological and pharmacological activities,including anticancer,antibacterial,antiviral,anticonvulsant,antiepileptic,antiinflammatory and analgesic etc,and introduced a number of anticancer drugs already on the market or used in clinical trials.Structural modification of the isatin C3-bit has become a hot spot of drug development.
