Abstract:With the help of a continuation theorem based on Gaines and Mawhin's coincidence degree, several verifiable criteria are established for the global existence of positive periodic solutions of a class of non–autonomous single species population model with delays (both state–dependent delays and continuous delays) and feedback control. After that, by constructing a suitable Lyapunov functional, sufficient conditions which guarantee the existence of a unique globally asymptotic stable positive periodic solution of a kind of nonlinear feedback control ecosystem are obtained. Our results extend and improve the existing results, and have further applications in population dynamics.

Abstract:We discuss a general -species discrete Kolmogorov system with time lags. We build some new results about the sufficient conditions for permanence, extinction, and balancing survival. When applying these results to some Lotka-Volterra systems, we obtain the criteria on harmless delay for the permanence as well as profitless delay for balancing survival.

Abstract:In this paper we consider a nonautonomous stage-structured competitive system of n-species population growth with distributed delays which takes into account the delayed feedback in both interspecific and intraspecific interactions. We obtain, by using the method of repeated replace, sufficient conditions for permanence and extinction of the species. The global attractivity of the unique positive equilibrium is proved in the autonomous case. Our results extend previous ones obtained by Liu et al. in [Nonlinear Anal. 51 (2002) 1347–1361; J. Math. Anal Appl. 274 (2002) 667–684].

Abstract:In this paper, we propose a Lotka–Volterra competitive system with infinite delay and feedback controls. By using the method of multiple Lyapunov functionals and by developing a new analysis technique, we establish the sufficient conditions which guarantee that some of the n species are driven to extinction. Two examples together with their numerical simulations show the feasibility of our main results and the considerable effects of feedback controls on the extinction of species.

Abstract:In this paper we study the permanence and impermanence for continuous-time competitive Kolmogorov systems via the carrying simplex. We first give an extension to attractors of V. Hutson's results on the existence of repellors in continuous-time dynamical systems that have found wide use in the study of permanence via average Liapunov functions. We then give a general criterion for the stability of the boundary of carrying simplex for competitive Kolmogorov systems of differential equations, which determines the permanence and impermanence of such systems. Based on the criterion, we present a complete classification of the permanence and impermanence in terms of inequalities on parameters for all three-dimensional competitive systems which have linearly determined nullclines. The results are applied to many classical models in population dynamics including the Lotka-Volterrra system, Gompertz system, Leslie-Gower system and Ricker system.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider an autonomous Lotka–Volterra competitive system with infinite delays and feedback controls. The extinction and global stability of equilibriums are discussed using the Lyapunov functional method. If the Lotka–Volterra competitive system is globally stable, then we show that the feedback controls only change the position of the unique positive equilibrium and retain the stable property. If the Lotka–Volterra competitive system is extinct, by choosing the suitable values of feedback control variables, we can make extinct species become globally stable, or still keep the property of extinction. Some examples are presented to verify our main results.

Abstract:This paper investigates the existence and boundedness of the global positive solutions for stochastic Kolmogorov system with infinite delay. We obtain two classes of sufficient conditions to guarantee these properties. These two classes of the conditions show that the system is dominated by deterministic part or stochastic part respectively. By the M-matrix technique, we conveniently compare our results. Finally, a Lotka–Volterra model as a special case is given to illustrate our idea.

Sufficient and necessary criteria for the persistence and average persistence are obtained, respectively. In addition, as a special case, we also discuss the equivalence of persistence of several kinds for almost periodic Kolmogorov type predator-prey system.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a nonautonomous two-species impulsive competitive system with infinite delays. By the impulsive comparison theorem and some mathematical analysis, we investigate the permanence, extinction and global attractivity of the system, as well as the influence of impulse perturbation on the dynamic behaviors of this system. For the logistic type impulsive equation with infinite delay, our results improve those of Xuxin Yang, Weibing Wang and Jianhua Shen [Permanence of a logistic type impulsive equation with infinite delay, Applied Mathematics Letters, 24(2011), 420-427]. For the corresponding nonautonomous two-species impulsive competitive system without delays, we discuss its permanence, extinction and global attractivity, which weaken and complement the results of Zhijun Liu and Qinglong Wang [An almost periodic competitive system subject to impulsive perturbations, Applied Mathematics and Computation, 231(2014), 377-385].

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to study the dynamical behavior of non-autonomous stochastic hybrid systems with delays. By general Krylov-Bogolyubov’s method, we first obtain the sufficient conditions for the existence of an evolution system of measures of the non-autonomous stochastic system and also give some easily verifiable conditions. We then prove a sufficient condition for convergence of evolution systems of measures as the delay approaches zero. As an application of the abstract theory, we first prove the existence of evolution systems of measures for stochastic system with time-vary delays, which comes from feedback control problem based on discrete-time state observations. Furthermore, when observation interval goes to zero, we show every limit point of a sequence of evolution system of measures of the non-autonomous stochastic system must be a evolution system of measures of the limiting system.

Abstract:This work devotes to the study on problems of optimal control and time optimal control for a neutral integro-differential evolution system with infinite delay. The main technique is the theory of resolvent operators for linear neutral integro-differential evolution systems constructed recently in literature. We first establish the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions and discuss the compactness of the solution operator for the considered control system. Then, we investigate the existence of optimal controls for the both cases of bounded and unbounded admissible control sets under some assumptions. Meanwhile, the existence of time optimal control to a target set is also considered and obtained by limit arguments. An example is given at last to illustrate the applications of the obtained results.

Abstract:This paper gives the controllability and Ulam–Hyers–Rassias (U–H–R) stability results for non-instantaneous impulsive stochastic multiple delays system with nonpermutable variable coefficients. The solution for nonlinear non-instantaneous impulsive stochastic systems is presented without the assumption of commutative property on delayed matrix coefficients. The kernel function of the solution operator is defined by sum of noncommutative products of delayed matrix constant coefficients. Sufficient conditions for controllability of linear and nonlinear non-instantaneous impulsive stochastic multiple delays system are established by using the Mönch fixed-point theorem under the proof that the corresponding linear system is controllable. Thereafter, U–H–R stability result is proved. Finally, the theoretical results are verified by a numerical example.

Abstract:In this paper we consider a periodic non-autonomous competitive stage-structured system with infinite delay for the interaction between n species, the adult members of which are in competition. For each of the n species the model incorporates a time delay which represents the time from birth to maturity of that species. Infinite delay is introduced which denotes the influential effect of the entire past history of the system on the current competition interactions. We first prove by using the comparison principle that if the growth rates are sufficiently large then the solutions are uniformly permanent. Then by using Horn’s fixed point Theorem, we show that the system with finite delay has a positive periodic solution. As a consequence of this result, we prove that even the system with infinite delay admits a positive periodic solution.

Abstract:In this paper, a nonautonomous almost periodic prey-predator system with impulsive effects and multiple delays is considered. By the mean-value theorem of multiple variables, integral inequalities, differential inequalities, and other mathematical analysis skills, sufficient conditions which guarantee the permanence of the system are obtained. Furthermore, by constructing a series of Lyapunov functionals, we derive that there exists a unique almost periodic solution of the system which is uniformly asymptotically stable. Finally, a numerical example and some simulations are presented to support our theoretical results.
