On the Academic Dimension in Marxist Philosophy

Abstract:Marxist philosophy has an essentially important academic dimension.As a thought weapon for social revolution,Marxist philosophy not only had performed a philosophical revolution,but also banished all kinds of ideological illusions in the standpoint of academy itself.Historical materialism is the genuine philosophical innovation of Marxism and its fundamental purpose is to go deep into the present social real- ity and hit the point.Therefore,Marxism attaches the essentiality of philosophical academy to social real- ity.In other words,if not reveal the social reality and hit its point,there is not genuine philosophical a- cademy of Marxist philosophy.So,Marxist philosophy,which has a character of"reflexive"in the stand- point of academy,would establish its academic orientation in terms of some kinds of"dialogues",namely, would put forward and carry out its academic task by the active dialogues with classical writings,contem- porary philosophies,conditions and problems.
