Value Pluralism Teenagers' Ideological and Moral Education——From the American New Character Education

Abstract:The United States since the 1980s a new character education theory and practice of growing rich,make a significant contribution for the transformation of American society,moral decline,to deal with the U.S.Youth moral crisis.Young people's ideological and moral education in China is also facing the value of diverse ideological confusion and moral dilemma of the modern society,by comparing the draw of the new character education in the United States to come to the following revelation:highlighting the dominant ideology and to nurture the core values;carry forward the traditional culture of the effectiveness of focus on cultural education;the permeability of the educational methods to strengthen and broaden the educational channels;to strengthen the coordination of the power of education,the formation of moral consensus.
