Abstract:Magnetic nano-Fe3O4-supported organocatalysts were synthesized by anchoring valine-derived formamide onto the surface of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles, which were applied in the asymmetric reduction of imines with trichlorosilane at room temperature in toluene. The high level of yield and enantioselectivity catalyzed by magnetic nano-Fe3O4-supported organocatalysts was obtained. In the immobilization process, CuI-catalyzed azide-alkyne 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition (CuAAC) “click chemistry” was used as the anchored bridge. The magnetic nanoparticles can simplify the recovery of the organocatalyst and its separation from the reaction system. By an external magnet, the catalyst can be recycled and reused five times without a remarkable activity decline.

Abstract:A photoredox‐catalyzed umpolung strategy for the synthesis of homoallylamines from unactivated imines and allyl bromides is described. This strategy exploited N,N‐diisopropylethylamine (DIPEA) as an auxiliary agent to indirectly realize the cross coupling of imines and allyl bromides. Various sterically hindered homoallylamines were synthesized by combining photocatalysis with halogen atom transfer (XAT). Notable characteristics of this approach include water‐insensitive reaction conditions, high yield (up to 99%), wide substrate scope (suitable for N‐aryl/alkyl and C‐aryl ketimines and aldimines, 39 examples) and high tolerance of functional groups (such as cyano, ester, amide, and thioamide).

Abstract:A metal-free 1,4-allylation of azadienes with allyltrimethylsilanes catalyzed by B(C6F5)(3) has been developed. The high Lewis acidity, good thermal stability, and good hydrolytic stability of the catalyst make this reaction efficient and operationally simple. In contrast to the previously reported 1,2-allylation of alpha,beta-unsaturated imines, the 1,4-allylation of azadienes is described here for the first time. Benzofuran-, indene-, dihydronaphthalene-, chromene-, and benzothiophene-based allyl arylmethanes have been obtained in up to 95 % yield.

Abstract:A new catalytic enantioselective approach for the formation of allyl alpha-amino acid derivatives by reaction of N-tosyl alpha-imino esters with allyl stannanes and silanes catalyzed by chiral copper(I) complexes has been developed. A series of different BINAP and phosphine-oxazoline (P,N) ligands have, in combination with various Lewis acids, been tested as chiral catalysts for allylation of N-tosyl alpha-imino esters. It has been found that both type of ligands, in combination with copper(I) salts, give highly valuable unsaturated alpha-amino acid derivatives. The reaction has been investigated for different allyl stannanes and silanes, and it has been found that tri-n-butyl allyl stannane gives the best results of the simple allyl compounds tested, leading to gamma,delta-unsaturated alpha-amino acid derivatives in up to 94% yield and with up to 83% ee, which can be improved to be >95% ee by recrystallization. The reaction has also been investigated using different acyclic and cyclic allyl stannanes leading to various types of unsaturated a-amino acid derivatives in very high yield (up to 95%) and with up to 98% ee. The stereochemistry and absolute configurations of the allyl alpha-amino acid derivatives have been determined by X-ray analysis, and it is suggested that the reaction takes place as an ene-like reaction.

Abstract:A highly regioselective synthesis of allylic amines based on a tungsten-catalyzed allylic amination has been developed. This protocol, which is catalyzed by commercially available W(CO) 3 (MeCN) 3 and 4,4′-di- tert -butyl-2,2′-bipyridine, permits the formation of synthetically useful branched allylic N -aryl- and N -alkylamines in moderate to good yields with a >20:1 branched/linear ratio under mild conditions. The noble-metal-free catalytic system complements conventional allylic aminations catalyzed by an Ir or Rh complex. Abstract:The copper-catalyzed enantioselective allylation reaction of N-aryl aldimines has been developed using a combination of Cu(OAc)2 and SPINOL-based phosphonamidite. This protocol significantly broadens the substrate scope, such that imines bearing various ortho-substituents on the N-aryl were converted smoothly into homoallylic amines in up to 99% yield and 98% ee. Taking advantage of the diversity of the N-aryl motif, three kinds of N-heterocyclic compounds were constructed, respectively, from the corresponding homoallylic amines in merely one step.

Abstract:The implementation of selective catalytic processes with highly active reagents is an attractive strategy that meets modern principles of sustainable development of chemistry. In the current study, we for the first time described method and general principles of Cu(I)-catalyzed allylation of imines with allylic triorganoboranes. Triallylborane is an extremely reactive compound and cannot be used for the catalytic allylation of imines, whereas its amine adducts are ideal substrates for catalysis. A structure of amine fragment successfully balances the safety, selectivity and stability of the allylboron reagent, allowing it to demonstrate high activity in catalytic allylation reactions, exceeding many times any known allylboranes. The obtained results supported by quantitative kinetics data and DFT calculations. Catalysis efficacy of the system was demonstrated on the model sulfinylimines. Taking into account high reactivity and unsurpassed atom-economy of amine adducts of triallylborane (AAT), they can be considered as prospective allylation reagents with Cu(I) and other appropriate metallocatalysts

Abstract:A facile synthesis of various allyl sulfonamides based on imidation of allyl sulfides with chloramine-T and subsequent [2,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement has been achieved without metal catalysts. The reaction completes smoothly within 10 min, providing excellent yields in environment friendly solvent of alcohol. Functional groups such as bromine, hydroxyl, protected amido and aldehyde are tolerant under this condition.

Abstract:Abstract The direct coupling of olefins and alkyl amines represents the most efficient and atom-economical approach to prepare aliphatic allylamines which are fundamental building blocks. However, the method that achieves this goal while exhibiting exquisite control over the site at which the amine is introduced remains elusive. Herein, we report that the combination of a photocatalyst and a cobaloxime enables site-selective allylic C–H amination of olefins with secondary alkyl amines to afford allylic amines, eliminating the need for oxidants. This reaction proceeds by a radical-based mechanism distinct from those of existing allylic amination reactions. It affords the product resulting from cleavage of the stronger, primary allylic C–H bonds over other weaker allylic C–H bond options. DFT calculations reveal that this selectivity originates from a cobaloxime-promoted hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) process. Our method is compatible with a broad scope of alkenes, and can be extended to achieve a site- and diastereoselective amination of natural terpenes.

Abstract:Allylsamarium bromide, prepared by the reaction of allyl bromide with samarium in THF at room temperature, reacted via 1, 2-addition with alpha, beta-unsaturated aldehydes or ketones to give homoallyl alcohol. The quantitative addition of allylsamarium bromide to alpha, beta-unsaturated ketones is a satisfactory display of regioselectivity. The structures of products were characterized by IR, H-1 NMR and MS spectra.
