Abstract:To well understand child bronchial pneumonia and optimize therapeutic protocols,we explored the immunological pathogenesis of bronchial pneumonia and the immune function status in children through analyzing T cell subsets, serum immunoglobulins, serum complement and cytokine changes.Total of 65 child patients were recruited as bronchial pneumonia group, and 20 healthy children were treated as control group. Then we employed polychromatic flow cytometry to detect T cell subsets(CD3+,CD3+CD4+Th,CD3+CD8+Ts,and CD3+CD4+Th/CD3+CD8+Ts),immunoturbidimetry to detect serum immunoglobulins and complements(IgG,IgA,IgM,C3,and C4),and ELISA to detect serum cytokines(IFN-γ and IL-4) in both two groups. As compared with control group, bronchial pneumonia group demonstrated lower levels of CD3+,CD3+CD4+Th,serum IgA,serum IgG(P < 0.01),and serum complement C3(P < 0.05),but higher levels of CD3+CD8+Ts(P < 0.01) and IFN-γ(P < 0.05).Furthermore,CD3+CD4+Th/CD3+CD8+Ts ratio was decreased(P < 0.05),but Th1/Th2 ratio was increased in bronchial pneumonia children. The result suggested that cellular and humoral immune dysfunction are both appeared in children with bronchopneumonia, and detection of immune function can help determine the patient's condition and guide treatment.
