Abstract:PD radar is a kind of advanced pulse radar which using coherent processing.It provides an important field for development and application of the signal processing techniques.However,it has several problems on towed decoys.In this paper,the characteristics of towed decoys are analyzed.Then a new method which uses proper guidance strategy is proposed to separate and resolve the Doppler spectrum line of carrier airplane and towed decoy in medium or long range before carrier airplane escapes from the beam of radar.Finally a new scheme for mono-pulse Doppler radar countering towed decoy jamming is proposed by using the processing techniques of multi-velocity gate tracking,angle centroid tracking,and target discrimination.Simulation results indicated the feasibly of the proposed method and scheme.
