Abstract:Objectve To study the relationship between the GRACE risk score, Brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)and the pathological changes of coronary artery in the patients with non-ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome(NSTEACS). Methods From September 2008 to November 2011,110 inpatients with NSTEACS in the department of cardiology of the first hospital of Yibin city and Gao County hospital were studied. they were divided into two groups according to their GRACE risk score,the low risk groups (n=42)and the high risk groups(n=68),the concentration of plasma BNP were detected and the pathological changes of coronary were judged by coronary angiography.The difference of Characteristics of pathological changes in coronary artery and plasma BNP were analyzed in the two groups. Results There were no statistic difference in two groups among their ages,blood sugar, creatinine,blood lipids(P > 0.05).But as the scores of GRACE increased,the severity of coronary stenosis and the numbers of pathological artery increased,multivascular diseases and C type pathology of coronary artery were observed more commonly in the high GRACE risk score groups, the plasma BNP of patients in the high risk groups were higher significantly than those in the low risk groups(P<0.05) also. Conclusion GRACE risk score and BNP have important value in predicting the characteristic of pathological coronary artery.
