Application and Discussion of Soundscape in Landscape Environment Design

Abstract:Traditional landscape design usually focuses on the visual elements and acoustic environment is rarely considered.Based on the understanding on the conception of soundscape,this article elaborates the element of acoustic environment,introduces the concept of the soundscape to landscape design,provides new measures and content to landscape and broadens the perspective of a landscape design to enrich the content of the landscape.According to the analysis on soundscape about acoustic environment in the vicinity of West Lake,it discusses several design elements and arrangement of soundscape and the acoustic design method of landscape.
