The method has been particularly successful in China recently when applied to mineral exploration. In this paper, we present a case study in which CSAMT is carried out in a prospective region identifined by the airborne electromagnetic surveys in Longmen Guangdong Province. The two‐dimentional inversion result of CSAMT shows that there are two highly conductive bodies, which are consistent with the lateral extent defined by the airborne EM surveys. The CSAMT, however, further defined the depth extent of these bodies and provided a much clearer description of the 3D geometry of the anomalously conductive bodies. Thus, the use of the refinement of the geology and aided in the identification of ore bodies.Permalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/1.3659093FiguresReferencesRelatedDetails International Workshop on Gravity, Electrical & Magnetic Methods and Their Applications, Beijing, China, October 10–13, 2011ISBN (print):978-1-56080-309-6ISSN (online):2159-6832Copyright: 2011 Pages: publication data© 2011 Copyright © 2011 Society of Exploration Geophysicists & Chinese Geophysical SocietyPublisher:Society of Exploration Geophysicists HistoryPublished: 17 Nov 2011 CITATION INFORMATION Xiong Li, Yaoguo Li, Xiaohong Meng, Xiangyun Hu, Weiping Wang, Guiju Wu, Chengping Wu, and Guangpu Huo, (2011), "Application of CSAMT in mineral exploration: A case study in Longmen, Guangdong Province," SEG Global Meeting Abstracts : 52-52. https://doi.org/10.1190/1.3659093 Plain-Language Summary PDF DownloadLoading ...
