Research on Status of Utilization and Demand of Community-based Healthcare Deliery Among the Elder Aged 90 and Above in Gonghexin,Zhabei District

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To study on the physical condition,the status of the community health services facility and requirement willingness of the residents aged 90 and over. METHODS A household survey with questionnaire was carried out among the residents aged 90 and over and obtained 78 valid questionnaires. RESULTS 33.3% of the aged go to the community health services institutions as the first selection when ill. 76.9% of the aged make use of outpatient services more frequently than other services. The degree of satisfaction is 33.8%. The aged are short of knowledge and willingness about the community health services,and 24.4% expressed that now they do not need any community health services. CONCLUSIONS Some effective measures should be taken to raise the degree of satisfaction and the utilization rate of the community health services.
