Abstract:Objective To describe the status of using psychotropic drug in HeBei Province.Methods Using the self made questionare,32 mental health order general hospitals were selected,ranked by the scale,beds,service objects and academic level in Hebei Province.Results ①The total number of sample was 223,including inpatients and outpatients.Totally 97(43.5%)cases were treated with mono-pharmacy,124(55.6%)cases were treated with poly-pharmacy,2(0.9%)cases were treated without antipsychotic medications.②The frequently prescribed paroxetine in outpatients was higher than in inpatients(P<0.01).The doses prescribed doxepine and amitriptyline in inpatients was higher than in outpatients(P<0.05,P<0.01).③Totally 50.7%(113/223)were combined with treatment of benzodiazepine drug(BZD).The most frequently prescribed BZD was alprazolam,followed by clonazepam,lorazepam,estazolam.The doses of prescribed BZD were in criterion range.There were 30.7%(43/140)cases received BZD treatment over 60 days.④Totally 16.6%(37/223)depression patients were accompanied with psychotic symptom.The treatment of psychotic depression were accompanied with antipsychotic medications.Conclusions The treatment of depression in Hebei Province is basic norm except a little inappropriate usage.
