Abstract:There are too may spatial or spatio-temporal applications, so the integrating ability became more and more important. OpenGIS technology can only solve the syntax integrating, not the semantic one. Moreover, uncertainty and multiple granularity are intractable problems. We put forward a spatio-temporal reasoning based spatio-temporal information management middle-ware. We use the spatio-temporal ontology technology to perform the semantic information integrating. A new spatio-temporal formal granularity theory is proposed to handle uncertainty and multiple granularity. Finally this middle-ware is applied to build a spatio-temporal database in an agrarian expert system.
