Abstract:Systematics of energy spectra and B(E2) with substantial improvements in the NπNν scheme are presented. The correlation of energy spectra over an extended region is pointed out and a simple explanation is given. A method for verifying the simple B(E2) systematics is also suggested.

Abstract:The systematics for the excitation energies of the ground, beta, and gamma bands are presented using the empirical total np interaction V-NP Some regularities found in the previous studies are tested by the systematics in the V-NP schemes. The systematics of the beta and gamma bands are presented in detail. Elegant regularities are observed for the excitation energies. The correlation phenomenon of the general behavior among different bands within each major shell is pointed out.

Abstract:The E(21)+, E(41)+, E(61)+, B(E2,0(1)(+) --> 2(1)(+)) systematics are presented by using the total np interaction V-NP and the ratio between V-NP and the total pairing strength V-pair, to have a richer understanding of the well-known NpiNnu and NnNp/(N-n + N-p) schemes. The different counting schemes for effective boson numbers and some regularities uncovered in previous studies are tested by the figures of Y-NP and V-NP/V-pair schemes. The systematics in the V-NP/V-pair scheme suggest that the NnNp/(N-n + N-p) scheme holds for A greater than or equal to 100 even-even nuclei.

Abstract:A systematics of excitation energy of the first 2(+) state E21+ in even-even heavy nuclei (A >= 120) is studied in the NpNn scheme. It is found that a simple exponential function describes the dependence of E21+ values on NpNn values very well. In addition, the Z = 64 shell gap is reexamined by investigating the systematics of the 52 <= Z <= 66 region. It is found that the Z = 64 shell gap is largest at N = 82 and becomes smaller with either increasing or decreasing of neutron numbers. The effects of this shell gap become negligible for counting the valence proton numbers when N >= 92 or N <= 72.

Abstract:The fluctuation of the delta V-np and delta V-NN is taken into account to evaluate, the np interaction and pairing strength of nuclei more precisely than the simple NpiNnu [or NnNp/(N-n + N-p)] parametrization. Regionally elegant systematics are noticed for the excited energy of the ground beta and gamma bands. The systematics of the beta and gamma bands are presented in detail for the first time. Correlation phenomenon of the general behavior of different bands in the same region is pointed out.

Abstract:Nuclear pairing energy of dozens of atomic nuclei in nuclear period chart are calculated along the stable line by extracting the swatch at a proton or neutron number interval of 4. Especially, we have studied the rule of pairing energy of the even-even nuclei of O isotopes changing with nucleon number under the relativistic mean-field model, and found, when energy gap Δ is fixed, the magnitude of nuclear pairing energy is related to nuclear shell structure. Thereof we propose a simple method to test closed shell, and further, we conclude that the neutron number N=6 is a new magic number not only in neutron-rich region, but also in proton-rich region of light nuclei.

Abstract:The ground state properties of the four isotope chains, Ni-28, Xe-54, (78)pt, Pu-94 are studied in the relativistic mean-field theory by using two sets of parameters, NL-3 and NL-Z. We find that the binding energies of odd-A nuclei are even closer to the corresponding experimental results, compared with those of the even-even nuclei. Our results indicate that it is reliable to neglect the space component of the vector meson fields in calculating binding energies of odd-A nuclei in the relativistic mean-field theory.

Abstract:The $N_pN_n$ scheme, which has been extensively applied to even-even nuclei, is found to be a very good benchmark for odd-even, even-odd, and doubly-odd nuclei as well. There are no apparent shifts in the correlations for these four classes of nuclei. The compact correlations highlight the deviant behavior of the Z=78 nuclei, are used to deduce effective valence proton numbers near Z=64, and to study the evolution of the Z=64 subshell gap.

Abstract:We present detailed systematics of the results for a transitions to excited 2(+), 4(+), and 6(+) states in the alpha decay of deformed even-even nuclei. Both the semiclassical and coupled-channel results are analyzed in the valence nucleon scheme. This provides a good test of the reliability of the various theoretical models for the alpha-decay fine structure. It is found that the coupled-channel results agree well with the experimental data in both systematic behavior and magnitude, while the semiclassical results have relatively large deviations from the experimental data. This confirms the good reliability of the coupled-channel studies.

Abstract:Combining the new spectroscopy results of 144 Tb and previous spectroscopy studies of neighboring nuclei, a systematic investigation on the low-lying spectra in N = 78 ~ 80 isotones is performed. Good systematics have been found for the coupling patterns which couple the odd nucleon(s), such as πh11/2, [Formula: see text], to the 2+, 4+, 6+ and 3- core excitations. It is found that the relative excitation energies of the states formed by coupling h11/2 proton(s) to the 2+, 4+ core excitations are pushed up, in contrast with those formed by coupling h11/2 neutron hole(s) to the 2+, 4+ core excitations, which are pulled down. According to the systematics, the interpretation that the 17/2+ states observed in 141 Sm and 143 Gd are the fully aligned member of coupling the odd h11/2 neutron hole to the octupole 3- core excitation, is explored to the isotones 145 Dy , 142 Eu , and 144 Tb .

Abstract:In this paper,we study the systematics of the 2+1 states in the N=82 even-even isotones with proton numbers between 52 and 72.We calculate the level energies of the 0+1,2+1states and the electric quadrupole re-duced transition probabilities B(E2;2+1→ 0+1),in the framework of the nuclear shell model with a monopole-and multipole-optimized realistic interaction.Our calculations yield good agreement with the experimental data and show a 2.5 MeV gap at Z=64 subshell closure in 146Gd.We predict that the B(E2;2+1→ 0+1)value for 146Gd is close to those for 142Nd and 144Sm,and the values increase rapidly from 148Dy to 152Yb.

Abstract:We study the $\ensuremath{\alpha}$-decay energies (${Q}_{\ensuremath{\alpha}}$) taken from the Atomic Mass Evaluation 2016 within the valence correlation scheme (VCS). A linear trajectory of $\ensuremath{\alpha}$-decay energies, derived from the VCS for nucleon separation energies, is put forward in terms of $\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}\ensuremath{\alpha}{N}_{\mathrm{p}}\ensuremath{\mp}\ensuremath{\beta}{N}_{\mathrm{n}}({N}_{\mathrm{p}}$ and ${N}_{\mathrm{n}}$ are the valence proton and neutron numbers, respectively, counted as particles or holes from the nearest shell closure). It is applicable well to all available $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ emitters including even-even, odd-$A$, and odd-odd nuclei. This relationship can be understood via the Taylor expansion method based on the Bethe-Weizs\"acker (BW) mass formula, leading to the recognition on the origin of the $\ensuremath{\alpha}$-decay energy to some extent as well. In fact, the present study can not only reconfirm the similar linear dependence of nucleon separation energies in the VCS, but also exhibit a regular pattern of $\ensuremath{\alpha}$-decay energy and provide a reasonable estimation on unknown ${Q}_{\ensuremath{\alpha}}$ values.

Abstract:We present an improved measurement of the ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ meson energy spectrum in $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1S)$ decays, using $1.2\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of data taken at the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1S)$ center-of-mass energy with the CLEO III detector. We compare our results with models of the ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ gluonic form factor that have been suggested to explain the unexpectedly large $B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}{X}_{s}$ rate. Models based on perturbative QCD fail to fit the data for large ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ energies, and thus an explanation outside the realm of the Standard Model or an improved understanding of nonperturbative QCD effects may be needed to account for this large rate.

Abstract:We present a detailed analysis of the a-decay fine structure in 32 deformed odd-mass nuclei from Z = 93 to Z = 102. The α-decay half-lives are systematically calculated within the multichannel cluster model (MCCM), which turns out to well reproduce the experimental data and show the neutron deformed shell structure. The branching ratios for various daughter states are investigated in the MCCM and in the WKB barrier penetration approach, respectively. It is found that the MCCM results agree well with the experimental data, while the WKB results have relatively large deviations from the experimental data for the α transitions to the high-lying members of the rotational band.

Abstract:For the system, the mass spectra, decay constants, E1 and M1 transition rates are calculated in a QCD-inspired potential model. Relativistic corrections are taken into account. The E1 transition rates with relativistic corrections are found to be smaller than those obtained in other models.

Abstract:We systematically study the mass spectra of the fully heavy dibaryons in an extended chromomagnetic model, which includes both the colorelectric and chromomagnetic interactions. We find no stable state below the corresponding baryon-baryon thresholds. Besides the masses, we also estimate the relative width ratios of the two-body decay channels. We hope our study will be of help for future experiments.

Abstract:The energy levels and the E2 transition probabilities B(E2) of uranium isotopes U-232-238 are calculated by the 1/N expansion technique with the consistent Q framework in sdIBM1. The energy spectra for the five isotopes and B(E2) of U-236 can be reproduced quite well with a few number of parameters only.

Abstract:A Symplectic Effective Field Theory that unveils the observed emergence of symplectic symmetry in atomic nuclei is advanced. Specifically, starting from a simple extension of the harmonic-oscillator Lagrangian, an effective field theory applied against symplectic basis states is shown to yield a Hamiltonian system with one fitted parameter. The scale of the system can be determined self consistently as the ratio of the average volume of a nucleus assumed to be spherical to its volume as determined by the average number of oscillator quanta, which is stretched by the fact that the plane-wave solution satisfies the equations of motion at every order without the need for perturbative corrections. As an application of the theory, results for 20Ne, 22Ne and 22Mg are presented that yield energy spectra, B(E2) values, and matter radii in good agreement with experimentally measured results.
