Study on mechanism of NDRG2 inhibiting the adhesion potential of hepatocellular carcinoma cells by regulating CD24

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of N-Myc downstream-regulated gene 2(NDRG2) on the adhesion potential of hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Methods Gene expression of NDRG2 and CD24 was detected in MHCC97H,Huh7 and L-02 cells by real-time PCR.After MHCC97H cell was infected by NDRG2-adenovirus,or Huh7 cell was transfected by NDRG2-siRNA,the expression of CD24 and cell adhesion ability were detected. Results The gene expression of NDRG2 in MHCC97H cells was lower than that in Huh7 cells.CD24 gene expression was higher in MHCC97H cells than that in Huh7 cells.Up-regulated NDRG2 led to the decrease of CD24 expression and cell adhesion ability in MHCC97H cells.NDRG2 down-regulation resulted in the rise of CD24 and cell adhesion potential in Huh7 cells. Conclusion NDRG2 could regulate hepatocellular carcinoma cells adhesion ability by regulating CD24 expression.
