A Study of Industrial Classification Based on the Energy Conservation and Pollution Reduction in China

Abstract:Based on the data of energy consumption and SO2 emission in 2005 year,the paper classifies the forty industrial departments,embarking on the energy consumption and SO2 emission double regulation.The results show that they can be divided into three types based on the energy consumption and SO2 emission per 104 RMB Yuan.One type is low energy consumption and low pollution,which includes furniture manufacturing industry,etc.Another one is middle energy consumption and middle pollution,which contains nonferrous metal selection,etc.The last one is high-energy consumption and high pollution,in which coal exploitation industry is included.According to the new industrial classification,the paper analyses the energy consumption and SO2 emission of the three-type industry,using the data of 2001-2005.The results are following: the high energy consumption and high pollution industry consumes 71%-74% of the total energy,and discharges 88%-90% of the total SO2,whose production output value occupies the total 40%.It is culprit that causes energy shortage and air pollution.The low energy consumption and low pollution industry,products 40% of the total production output value,consumes less than 10% of the total energy,and discharges lea than 5% of the total SO2.It is typical energy conservable and environment friendly industry.The new industrial classification builds double relation between industrial production and energy consumption and SO2 emission,which provides scientific foundation for building resource conservable and environment friendly society.
