Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a notion of complex compact intervals on which Minkowski addition and scalar multiplication operators are well defined to form the space of complex fuzzy numbers whose α -cuts are complex intervals. Some basic fuzzy partial ordering relations among the complex numbers with " ≤C ", the complex intervals with "≪", the complex fuzzy numbers with " ⪯C ̃ " and the discrete fuzzy complex-valued functions with ≲ are studied. Based on these fundamental properties, we introduce a concept of Caputo fractional sum and difference for the discrete fuzzy complex-valued functions and establish some of their basic results. Moreover, by introducing the complex monotone iterative technique combined with the method of upper and lower solutions, the existence of extremal solutions for discrete complex fuzzy Caputo fractional difference equations is investigated. In each section, several examples are presented to show the feasibility of our obtained results.

Abstract:In this paper, through theory of fuzzy complex analysis, we introduce some representations of r -cuts of trivial fuzzy zero, nontrivial fuzzy zero and fuzzy complex numbers in polar form on complex plane and establish some of their basic properties. Based on this, the addition and scalar multiplication operations of fuzzy complex numbers are established and the calculus of fuzzy complex-variable functions is studied. Moreover, we introduce a notion of fuzzy Ortigueira fractional derivative of fuzzy complex-variable functions and develop a theory of fuzzy fractional calculus on complex plane including some geometric features. As applications, the existence and uniqueness theorem of solutions for nonlinear fuzzy fractional complex-variable differential equations is established and some examples are provided.

Abstract:We studied the Cauchy problem of fuzzy differential equations on the basis of introducing the concept of differentiation which is a generalization of the definition of H-differentiability due to Puri and Ralescu (1983), for fuzzy set-valued mappings of real variables whose values are in the fuzzy number space (En,D). The existence and uniqueness theorem is obtained for the Cauchy problem x′=f(t,x),x(t0)=x0, when f satisfies the generalized Lipschitz condition.

Abstract:This paper further studies the fuzzy rough sets based on fuzzy coverings. We first present the notions of the lower and upper approximation operators based on fuzzy coverings and derive their basic properties. To facilitate the computation of fuzzy coverings for fuzzy covering rough sets, the concepts of fuzzy subcoverings, the reducible and intersectional elements, the union and intersection operations are provided and their properties are discussed in detail. Afterwards, we introduce the concepts of consistent functions and fuzzy covering mappings and provide a basic theoretical foundation for the communication between fuzzy covering information systems. In addition, the notion of homomorphisms is proposed to reveal the relationship between fuzzy covering information systems. We show how large-scale fuzzy covering information systems and dynamic fuzzy covering information systems can be converted into small-scale ones by means of homomorphisms. Finally, an illustrative example is employed to show that the attribute reduction can be simplified significantly by our proposed approach.

Abstract:Credibility distribution function is presented on the basis of credibility measure to describe fuzzy variable. Characteristic function of a fuzzy variable is defined as the Lebesgue-Stieltjes integral with respect to its credibility distribution function. In this paper, some mathematical properties of credibility distribution function are investigated. As a main result, continuity theorems of characteristic functions for fuzzy variables sequence are obtained.

Abstract:The aim of this article is to propose a new definition of fuzzy fractional derivative, so-called fuzzy conformable. To this end, we discussed fuzzy conformable fractional integral softly. Meanwhile, uniqueness, existence, and other properties of solutions of certain fuzzy conformable fractional differential equations under strongly generalized differentiability are also utilized. Furthermore, all needed requirements for characterizing solutions by equivalent systems of crisp conformable fractional differential equations are debated. In this orientation, modern trend and new computational algorithm in terms of analytic and approximate conformable solutions are proposed. Finally, the reproducing kernel Hilbert space method in the conformable emotion is constructed side by side with numerical results, tabulated data, and graphical representations.

Abstract:In present paper we will investigate the basic theory of fuzzy Henstock-Stieltjes Δ-integral with respect to a bounded variation function on time scale. Firstly, we define the notion of fuzzy Henstock-Stieltjes Δ-integral (or briefly FHS-Δ-integral) on time scales, and propose some basic properties and several necessary and sufficient conditions for fuzzy Henstock-Stieltjes Δ-integrable functions. Secondly, we present a characterization theorem of fuzzy Henstock-Stieltjes Δ-integrable function by using the embedding theorem of fuzzy number space. Therefore, this paper complements and enriches the theory of fuzzy integral, and the results of this paper will contribute to establishing discontinuous fuzzy dynamic equations on time scales.

Abstract:Since the term “Fuzzy differential equations” (FDEs) emerged in the literature in 1978, prevailing research effort has been dedicated not only to the development of the concepts concerning the topic, but also to its potential applications. This paper presents a chronological survey on fuzzy differential equations of integer and fractional orders. Attention is concentrated on the FDEs in which a definition of fuzzy derivative of a fuzzy number-valued function has been taken into account. The chronological rationale behind considering FDEs under each concept of fuzzy derivative is highlighted. The pros and cons of each approach dealing with FDEs are also discussed. Moreover, some of the proposed FDEs applications and methods for solving them are investigated. Finally, some of the future perspectives and challenges of fuzzy differential equations are discussed based on our personal view point.

Abstract:In this paper, the structural stability for two-point boundary value problems of second order fuzzy differential equations (FDEs) has been studied by using differential inclusion method. In the sense of differential inclusion, this FDE has been understood as a two-point boundary value problem of uncertain dynamical system which exists a unique big solution and a unique solution. When the forcing function or boundary conditions have specific perturbations, the structural stability of big solutions is discussed by means of Green function. After that, by using tools of support function, the Dini Theorem and the Convergence Theorem in the differential inclusion theory, the structural stability of solutions has been discussed and established too.

Conformable fractional differentiability is examined in this paper, with the goal of developing an existence and uniqueness thesis for a fuzzy fractional differential equation using the idea of conformable differentiability, which is based on expanding a fuzzy mapping's class of differentiable fuzzy mappings. For this, we consider lateral Hukuhara derivatives of order q ∈ (0, 1).

Abstract:In this paper, by means of Banach Fixed-point Theorem we establish the existence and uniqueness of solutions for set differential equations, the continuous dependence of solutions on initial values, and the structural stability of solutions. On the basis of these results, we define level sets of solutions to fuzzy differential equations by the solutions of set differential equations, and then we obtain the corresponding results for the large solutions of the fuzzy initial value problem (FIVP). Finally, discuss the relationship between small solutions and large solutions of FIVP.

Abstract:It is well-known that fuzzy number plays a basic role in many fields of fuzzy mathematics, such as fuzzy analysis, fuzzy differential equations, fuzzy probability, and even applications on image processing. In the course of study, some natural metrics on the family of all fuzzy numbers and some natural maps such as weighted mean maps on fuzzy numbers are defined. In the present paper, 16 different topologies on the related sets are defined and compared. Moreover, the continuity of the weighted mean maps as a binary map or a unary map is discussed with respect to these topologies. Finally, an application of the above results is given.

Abstract:We consider fuzzy valued functions from two parametric representations of $\alpha$-level sets. New concepts are introduced and compared with available notions. Following the two proposed approaches, we study fuzzy differential equations. Their relation with Zadeh's extension principle and the generalized Hukuhara derivative is discussed. Moreover, we prove existence and uniqueness theorems for fuzzy differential equations. Illustrative examples are given.

Abstract:Since the naissance of the fuzzy set theory in 1965, it has been applied to many areas extensively. In the applications, people are confronted with the interpretation problem of membership functions frequently. Since each person has his/her own opinion about the meaning of a subjective concept, he/she always has his/her own membership function for the same concept. The applications of the theory, for example fuzzy control and fuzzy reasoning, show the robustness of the (more or less) optionally chosen membership functions. This phenomenon probably reflects the inherent characteristics of fuzzy sets. In order to uncover the reason, many researchers have pay attention to the interpretation of membership functions (fuzzy sets). In this paper, from the quotient space theory and fuzzy equivalence relation, a new structural definition of fuzzy set is given. The “isomorphic principle” and “similarity principle” of fuzzy sets, the necessary and sufficient conditions of the “isomorphism” and “ε-similarity” of two fuzzy equivalence relations, and some properties of the new structural definition are discussed. These results may open up some inherent properties of fuzzy sets and provide a new interpretation of the membership functions.
